LMAO: Sleepy Joe Says He Makes Verbal Gaffes Because He’s TIRED — No, This Is Not Satire

It appears that President Trump was spot-on when he gave Biden his “forever name.”

Sure, there was that time when President Obama was so boring talking about Obamacare that then-Vice President Biden was dozing off.

According to Joe Biden, fatigue is something that he deals with regularly. It’s the source of his verbal stumbles, you see.

When he called Senator Cory Booker the “future President” and stumbled through his speech about record players, his story about how he dealt with the “bad dude” Corn Pop, and how children rubbed his leg hair — all because he was tired.

It would seem that Joe Biden has decided that acknowledging that the Trump-given nickname is accurate is preferable than admitting that he still struggles with his childhood stutter.

An article in the January/February 2020 edition of The Atlantic defended Biden’s verbal flubs by suggesting that it was his due to his childhood stutter and not deteriorating mental function as some have suggested. The article includes an interview with Biden who has written about overcoming his stutter. The reporter for The Atlantic, John Hendrickson, is himself a stutterer, and after studying Biden’s verbal misfirings, concluded that a lifelong struggle with stuttering was to blame.

However, when Biden was interviewed by Axios on HBO, he denied that he still struggles with stuttering.

Biden said, “I don’t think of myself as continuing to stutter. I never — that doesn’t cross my mind that I’m stuttering. But apparently, people will say, occasionally, pick up that I’m tired and I’m gonna go… I’ll say, “Um, um, ah” and I’ll find myself searching for a second. Look, the mistakes I’ve made are mistakes. And some people think I still stutter. I don’t think of myself that way.”

Watch:

Biden has had a number of verbal stumbles during the campaign. He referred to the mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton, Ohio, as taking place in Houston and Michigan, and he said he met with the Parkland high school students as vice president when that mass shooting happened after he left office.

  • But Biden dismissed those as a meaningless media obsession. He said his age isn’t to blame, claiming he’s operating at “110%” of the mental skills he had when he was vice president — “better than I was.”
  • “(Voters) don’t think I lost a step. There’s no evidence to suggest that. You guys love it. You guys love it. But I haven’t seen any evidence of that.”

What say you, ClashDaily readers? Is Joe just sleepy or suffering from a stutter?
