DISGUSTING: House Democrats Block Vote Supporting Iranian Protesters
Trump Derangement Syndrome is real folks. Rather than support Iranians protesting for their freedom, they would (effectively) side with Iran’s regime.
How jacked up does your anti-American, anti-Freedom have to get to take you to this point?
This is the same party, after all, that claims to love protesters of every stripe. Just not the freedom-loving ones in totalitarian Hellscapes like Iran.
The Iranian people are ‘speaking Truth to power’ in a state where doing so can get you jailed or shot. They are doing so in response to Iran shooting down a passenger plane filled with nearly 200 people, including children.
🇮🇷 Iran protests in past two months:
1,500 protesters killed by regime
4,800 Injured
7,000 arrested🇺🇳 Reaction from U.N. Human Rights Council:
0 resolutions
0 urgent sessions
0 commissions of inquiryWhy, @mbachelet?

There is no excuse for the killing of everyone on board that plane, and the oppressed people of Iran know it. They are tearing down pictures of Soleimani. They are showing respect to symbols of America and Israel (that’s a big deal in Iran), and they are denouncing in the strongest terms their own country’s despotic leadership.
In looking for the tweet above to quantify the danger these protesters face, we came across several others that really drive home the point of what’s happening right now in Iran. We’ll add them after describing the actual resolution Democrats were opposing.
In light of all this, and more, Rep Kevin McCarthy quite naturally put forward a resolution in support of the protesters. Democrats promptly blocked it.
LR @RepMcCaul: "It is a resolution, telling the Iranian people and the protesters in #Iran that we support them, that the American people have their back. Democrats would not allow a vote on this resolution.” pic.twitter.com/YeMXvFeNSP

Consideration and a vote on House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s resolution was blocked because Democrats advanced the previous question, by a vote of 226-191. The resolution would have condemned the Government of Iran for killing 1,500 Iranian citizens who were protesting their government, as well as condemned the Government of Iran for shooting down Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752, killing 176 people.
In addition, the resolution; “(3) condemns the Government of Iran for repeatedly lying to its people and to the world about its responsibility for the downing of Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752; (4) calls on the Government of Iran to— (A) refrain from the use of violence; and (B) protect the rights of freedom of expression and peaceful assembly; and (5) supports the protestors in Iran, their demands for accountability, and their desire for the Government of Iran to respect freedom and human rights.”

They won’t touch that issue with a 10′ pole. Weird, eh?
When Antifa attacks journalists and tourists, the Squad will gladly help fundraise for bail money. (Which, in light of the latest Project Veritas video exposing Bernie Sanders Iowa organizer, that suddenly makes a TON of sense.)
But people standing up to an oppressive regime in (first) Venezuela and (now) Iran? The Democrats absolutely will not stand for it.
They will refuse ANYTHING that could possibly put Trump or his policies in a positive light, even when that means refusing to do the RIGHT thing.
Even Amnesty International was (finally) shamed into speaking up about it. But absolutely Bupkis from the Democrats.
Here’s a quick recap of what the Iranians are dealing with:
“Soleimani was a murderer, his Leader is also a murderer!”
“Soleimani was a murderer, his Leader is also a murderer!”
“Soleimani was a murderer, his Leader is also a murderer!”

It may be hard to believe but I have experienced it personally!
When u r protesting peacefully but suddenly get attacked by several huge men with batons & tasers, d 1st thought in your mind – even before feeling the pain – is: “Where does this hatred come from?”#IranProtests2020 pic.twitter.com/8XoEwxU2WD— Maryam shariatmadari #FreeFromHijab (@Maryamshariatm) January 14, 2020
In my interview with @euronews
1) Many Iranians think that the Revolutionary Guards are an Iranian version of ISIS. I hear this commonly from the people who contact me from inside Iran.
2) The regime had to admit to downing the plane because there were foreign nationals in it pic.twitter.com/sMA96lip2x

Peaceful protesters in Iran faced tear gas and live fire this week. Here's how they described it: https://t.co/YNC4jLwMa7. #IranProtests2020 pic.twitter.com/pJi9CwPNVx

The New York Times just called Iranian President Hassan Rouhani—whose regime just massacred 1,500 of his own people for protesting, and helped Assad murder 500,000 Syrian men, women and children—"a moderate."https://t.co/UhNcX3BG3H

Democrats have zero — ZERO — claim to any moral high ground in terms of victims and suffering after this disgraceful display.
And a party with priorities like THIS wants Americans to give them back the Presidency? The Presidency? Oh, please, we wouldn’t trust them to run the Tilt-a-Whirl at the fair.
