HEY AOC: Since Trump GAVE Puerto Rico Aid, And THEY Mismanaged It… When’s Your Apology?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of the Democrats made very public claims that Trump didn’t give Puerto Rico the aid they needed after a Hurricane. She lied.

There were two competing narratives after Hurricane Maria smashed its way through Puerto Rico. One of them was Trump claiming the requested aid had been delivered but was woefully mismanaged by the local government. The other was Puerto Rican politicians who used the opportunity to showboat and proclaim their disdain for Trump.

One even had shirts made while the city she was elected to run was devastated. Because, well, priorities. ‘Never let a crisis go to waste’, amirite?

AOC even went to Copenhagen and blasted ‘racist’ America for the plight of Puerto Rico.

At the 8 minute mark, she was throwing around words like ‘Colonialism’ and ‘Imperialism’ while falsely claiming that a storm whose aftermath (not the actual storm, mind you) killed her grandfather was somehow the result of climate change. (We notice no mention was made of the role government ineptitude or obvious corruption played in the aftermath.)

What ACTUALLY happened in Puerto Rico?

Well, a government official was just fired for cause. Is that interesting? It should be if you hear what the cause was.

Government officials in Puerto Rico began distributing much-needed disaster aid that went unused for years while residents suffered in the wake of a deadly hurricane and more recently a batch of crippling earthquakes.

The once-abandoned supplies — which included thousands of sealed cases of water bottles, pallets of food, diapers, baby formula and cots — were distributed on Monday to shelters in communities where powerful earthquakes leveled homes in recent weeks and caused an estimated $110 million in damages, according to government officials.

The unused aid, believed to have been delivered during Hurricane Maria in 2017, was discovered in an abandoned government-operated warehouse in the southwestern city of Ponce over the weekend, sparking a wave of angry protests.

Puerto Ricans, understandably, are PISSED.

Puerto Rico – Gov. Wanda Vázquez fired the heads of Puerto Rico’s housing and family departments Sunday in the latest fallout over the discovery of a warehouse filled with emergency supplies dating from Hurricane Maria in 2017.

The removal of Housing Secretary Fernando Gil and Department of Family Secretary Glorimar Andújar came a day after the governor fired the director of the emergency management agency. Vázquez fired him hours after a Facebook video showed angry people breaking into the warehouse in an area where thousands have been in shelters since an earthquake.

“There have been actions by government officials that have been completely unacceptable,” the governor said Sunday.

…When asked how it was possible that she did not know about the existence of the warehouse, Vázquez replied, “That’s what the head of agencies are for … to inform the governor.”

Vázquez said she worried that the warehouse discovery and the fallout would affect the credibility of the territorial government in Washington, which has temporarily retained some federal funds for Maria relief amid concerns of corruption and mismanagement.

Worried that the warehouse discovery and the fallout would affect the credibility of the territorial government?

Gee, ya think?

So, with some help from the complicit media, we went from an official story of Trump failing to deliver badly-needed supplies to Puerto Rico (for reasons that were portrayed as explicitly racist) and painting him as a liar when he claimed that help came, but was mismanaged by corrupt and or incompetent managers… to Trump being proven entirely right long after the damage was done.

And you wonder why we call them fake news?
