Marianne Williamson Was ‘Harnessing Love’ To Beat Trump — Now She’s Endorsing Bernie And ‘Really Pissed’

Written by K. Walker on February 26, 2020

Well, who can blame her? I’d be pissed too if my party was about to select Bernie Sanders as the nominee.

After all, he’s a septuagenarian Socialist who can’t even cost out his campaign promises and had a heart attack a few months ago. Some of his supporters are vile online trolls and his campaign leaders have been caught on video extolling the virtues of gulags, censorship, and political violence.

Somehow I don’t think that’s what she is pissed about, though. I think her rage is aimed at President Trump, the Bad Orange Man that the Democrats must defeat at any cost.

Back in June 2019, quirky New Age-y author and self-help guru, Marianne Williamson was on stage at one of the early Democratic debates. At the time she said, “So, Mr. President, if you’re listening, I want you to hear me, please. You have harnessed fear for political purposes and only love can cast that out. So I sir, I have a feeling you know what you’re doing. I’m going to harness love for political purposes. I will meet you on that field. And, sir, love will win.”

Well, that’s down the crapper.

It seems that Williamson has tossed aside her plan to “harness love” for political purposes and has instead joined the angry Bernie Bros in their rage at everything and everyone.

On Sunday, Williamson joined Bernie at a rally in Austin, Texas and gave him her endorsement explaining that it was because she was angry with the injustice that she alleges is taking place in America under Trump.

She said, “I put my hand in front of my heart and I pledged allegiance to liberty and justice for all. Turned me into a woman who gets really pissed when I see it not happening.”

“We’re going to say to all those who say liberty and justice cannot be done, Sure as hell can be — because we’re here and we’re with Bernie,” she concluded.

Well, that’s certainly a take, Marianne.

The concept of “liberty and justice for all” doesn’t seem to be a key component to the socialist dictatorships that Bernie has heaped effusive praise on. He hasn’t met a communist dictatorship that he didn’t like. He’s always found a way to find that “silver lining” that makes the authoritarian nature of the socialist regimes somehow acceptable.

Bernie has applauded the Castro communists for the literacy rate and healthcare system after the revolution in Cuba but ignored the firing squads and the imprisoning of dissidents.

He was quite vocal in his condemnation of President Reagan and support for the Sandinistas in Nicaragua in the 1980s. Bernie even met with Daniel Ortega, who had assumed power in 1979 and is the current President. It should be noted that Ortega did spend 17 years as the opposition but has been President since 2007.

On Sanders’s Senate website, an article from 2011 was posted in the “Must Read” section. The piece, written by the Valley News Editorial Board, stated that the American Dream was more easily realized in places like “Equador, Venezuela, and Argentina” where “incomes are more equal today” than in America.

More recently, he’s praised China for addressing extreme poverty but fails to acknowledge that the reason that people are no longer poor is because of the introduction of capitalist economic reforms.

And sure, Bernie says that he means European socialism, but even the country that he claims is a successful “socialist” country, Denmark, denies that it is in fact, socialist.

This is the guy that Ms. “Harness Love” is throwing her support to.

That’s quite a great plan you’ve got there, Marianne!
