Social media can often bring out the worst in people. This time, some users are posting photos and sharing how God has changed their lives for the better.
Thousands of Twitter users used the hashtag #JesusFlippedTheSwitch and shared how coming to know Christ has completely transformed their lives. 1John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Some of those transformations are pretty amazing and show how a person went from a depressed, drug user to a happy, well-balanced person who worships God.
Many cited or referred to 2Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
These really don’t need much commentary, so here they are:

– I never knew God at all, I was depressed, I was suicidal, I thought I was bad, I was in love with sex, I was heading for destruction
+ I’m saved by Grace, I’m far from perfect, I’m in love with Jesus, I’m free, I now run a ministry in my school, I’m 16. pic.twitter.com/RJNdiDpMj6

Man, God has brought me a long way in such a short a period of time.
Repented in March 2019. Got baptized October 5, 2019. From being a liar, a smoker, fornicating, homosexual, an athiest/agnostic. There's really no one God can't save and transform. #JesusFlippedTheSwitch pic.twitter.com/TxbkvA8oal

#JesusFlippedTheSwitch was a lukewarm Christian , craving acceptance from the world.
But Gods grace was sufficient , He changed my story🥺 I surrendered my life to Him. I became a living sacrifice, bearing my cross DAILY.
I will never stop praising Your great name. LORD JESUS❤️ pic.twitter.com/eKXLgw7pD2

Anxiety, depression, fear, & loneliness was no match for the Lord. & I’m not talking about just being saved that changed me, it was the incomparable bond the Father and I now have because Jesus has shown me what His great love truly is through His Spirit pic.twitter.com/7adOGFFVfl

I don’t have previous pics, but I was verry bitter. I had a lot of anger, sadness, dark thoughts & insecurities. Looking for affirmation in man by the way I would present my body. BUT GOD, now I live from a place of affirmation, who is Jesus. Pure joy.💛 pic.twitter.com/9YBgnjRm4o

#JesusFlippedTheSwitch went from a part time Believer that struggled with anxiety, lust and worldliness to a full time Christian after Gods own heart 💓 2 Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here pic.twitter.com/NbA6hSR9cZ

It’s encouraging to see so many teens and twenty-somethings openly sharing their faith on Twitter like this, especially as the coronavirus spreads, our lives have changed, and people are searching for meaning.
God bless them all for sharing those private (and probably embarrassing in many cases) photos and stories as a testimony of how great our God is and how knowing Him can transform lives.
