REPORT: Pelosi Tried To Slip In $1 Billion In Abortion Funding In Coronavirus Stimulus Bill
Democrats are trying to shove their leftist policy wishlist into the Coronavirus stimulus bill — starting with funding abortion.
Democrats are talking out of both sides of their mouths regarding the Coronavirus. They all talk about the need for unity in the face of a global pandemic, but then quickly (and blatantly) use the spread of a pathogen for their own political purposes.
Several White House sources told The Daily Caller that during negotiations on the provisions in the Coronavirus stimulus bill with U.S. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, Pelosi lobbied for $1 billion in reimbursement to laboratories which would violate protections for healthcare spending laid out in the Hyde Amendment. The Hyde Amendment blocks clinics that perform abortions from receiving federal funds.
“A new mandatory funding stream that does not have Hyde protections would be unprecedented,” one White House official explained. “Under the guise of protecting people, Speaker Pelosi is working to make sure taxpayer dollars are spent covering abortion — which is not only backwards, but goes against historical norms.”
A second White House official referred to the provision as a “slush fund” and yet another questioned “what the Hyde Amendment and abortion have to do with protecting Americans from coronavirus?”
Pelosi and Mnuchin were engaged in negotiations Thursday morning to finalize the text of the legislation.
Politico confirmed after this article went to press that the Hyde Amendment provision was eventually removed from the stimulus later on Thursday and will hit the House floor as a separate bill.

These people are just awful.
A global pandemic is terrifying the world and House Democrats are trying to secure taxpayer-funded abortion.
How lovely.
What’s the matter, Nancy? Is there some sort of abortion quota stipulation in your deal with Satan? Why else would taxpayer-funding of abortion clinics be included in a Coronavirus Stimulus Bill?
Despite the funding removed from the bill, several House Republicans rejected the bill. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy(R-CA) wanted to start from scratch with a new bill over the next 24-48 hours. Speaker Pelosi rejected this and said that a decision needs to be made right away and we need to find “common ground” and work together. (This generally means that Republicans should cave to Democrat demands.)

Un-dirty word-believable.
Democrats are unable to handle bipartisan discussion during a pandemic without politicizing it.
