Fiery Trials Are Sent To Burn Away Our Spiritual Garbage

If you’re ready and willing to step out of the Sunday School kiddie pool and swim out into the open water of real life, you’ve come to the right place.

Be honest. We’ve all heard those happy-clappy sermonettes for Christianettes that tiptoe around the spicy passages in scripture that make honest believers flinch when they read them.

But if a preacher isn’t as willing to preach the tough messages Christ delivered as he is the comforting ones you find on bumper stickers and coffee mugs, is he really teaching the whole counsel of God?

If you guessed ‘no’ — you’re right!

Ok, Skippy. How well do all those lilac-and-lavender-scented sermons hold up when life’s got you bleeding freely in an MMA title match caliber ground-and-pound? They don’t.

A believer that seriously wants to push through the pain of cruddy circumstances, and survive the fire of extreme testing will need something more than cotton candy sermonettes to give him the needed spiritual core strength for that fight.

He’s going to need to leave the baby formula behind and sit down to a hearty steak dinner.

If you’re facing fiery trials right now (a lot of us are) and you want to come out the other side like refined gold or steel instead of being charred to cinders, this is the ‘Sunday Sermon At Home’ you didn’t know you needed.

Need a bigger dose of spiritual adrenaline to get you back on your feet when you feel like you’ve fallen flat on your face?

We’ve got you covered there, too.

Things are pretty rough right now, eh? You know, in days gone by, tough times were no big deal to the believer, because Christians used to be a tad bit pluckier back then. When bad things happened, the believers from bygone days did not wail like sirens, move home with mummy, and/or renounce their Christianity just because things momentarily were jacked up. You re probably thinking, Where did they get their holy bulldog resiliency? Jesus told us in the Sermon on the Mount that heartaches in life are a matter of when, not if. Are you ready? If not, don t freak, as the contents of this fast-paced and funky book seek to shore up your sagging spirit.
