Hey Leftists: Communism Has A Robust History Of Bigotry

Communists and other leftists claim they support equality and diversity, especially in this age of political correctness. In fact, they even say they are the solution to racism and all other types of prejudices. Leftists have even participated in the Civil Rights Movement and other movements advocating equal rights.

But the truth of the matter is that communists and other leftists can be prejudiced as anyone else, and perhaps even more so.

The founder of communism, Karl Marx, had his share of prejudices, such as the animosity he had towards his son-in-law Paul Lafargue (who was Cuban), referring to him as a “Negrillo” and even “the Gorilla”, since Lafargue had African ancestry. Marx also made Anti-Semitic remarks towards labor organizer Ferdinand Lassalle, despite Marx himself being an ethnic Jew. He was also convinced that Lassalle was of African descent (due to Lassalle’s physical features), and made racial slurs about him. Marx’s colleague Friedrich Engels also made racial slurs about Lassalle.

And despite Marx’s revolutionary ideas, he refused to let his daughters pursue careers. In addition, his daughters wound up living miserable lives, with two of them committing suicide.

Although communists and other leftists are sworn enemies of Nazis and Fascists, they tend to forget that both Hitler and Mussolini considered themselves to be socialists, e.g. Nazi being an acronym for National Socialist German Workers’ Party.

In addition, it turns out that Stalin had one thing in common with Hitler–being an anti-Semite. In 1948, after the disbanding of the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee, several leading Jews in the Soviet Union were persecuted. Then in 1952 many other Soviet Jews were convicted of “Jewish nationalism” and wound up being shot or sent to labor camps. A year later, Stalin claimed there was a “Doctors’ Plot” to kill Soviet leaders, which led to a purge of physicians in the Soviet Union, most of whom were Jewish. This alleged conspiracy convinced Stalin to exile the entire Jewish population to Siberia and also initiate a series of pogroms throughout the country. But his death in March 1953 prevented such action from carried out.

Communists in America have also been racists, despite their opposition to the Jim Crow laws. In fact, they took advantage of African Americans and even delegated them to the lower levels within the party.

Sexism also prevailed among communists and other leftists. Many women involved in various left-wing groups wound up being virtual prostitutes. For example, in one leftist group, the job of women included “getting laid” (in addition to serving food and cleaning up after mealtime). Another example of sexism among the leftists involves white female communists being ordered by white male communists to have sexual relationships with black communists in order to spy on them. Thus, racism and sexism go hand-in-hand among leftists.

And prejudices among the left continue to this day. Recently, it has been revealed that black Africans in China experience discrimination and are even subject to constant testing for the coronavirus (and wind up being shunned even if the tests turn up negative). Such racial views have been occurring in China for some time, due to fears over AIDS and the Ebola virus, as well as some Chinese officials expressing concerns over the number of Africans within the country.

In conclusion, communists and other leftists are hypocrites when it comes to equality.
