Corruption Creep

A freshly declassified version of a January 20, 2017 email that Susan Rice sent to herself reveals more corruption in the Obama administration and how Lt. General Michael Flynn was set up by an arrogant cabal that ultimately drove the Russian collusion hoax.

Sean Davis, at The Federalist, notes, “Michael Flynn was personally targeted during a crucial Jan. 5, 2017 Oval Office meeting arranged by then-President Barack Obama.” The email says, “President Obama asked if Comey was saying NSC should not pass sensitive information related to Russia to Flynn. Comey replied, ‘Potentially.’” The email also notes that Comey had no indication that Flynn had passed on any information to the Russian ambassador.

Let’s back up a step. In the January 5, 2017 meeting in the Oval Office attended by President Obama, James Comey, Sally Yeats, Susan Rice, and Joe Biden, a discussion was held about Flynn’s conversations with the Russian ambassador which the Obama administration overheard.

After this initial meeting, Obama asked all to leave but Comey and Yeats. He then proceeded to say he’d “learned of the information about Flynn and his conversation with Russia’s ambassador about sanctions.” He also “specified that he did not want any additional information on the matter but was seeking information on whether the White House should be treating Flynn any differently, given the information.”

Obama knew about the tapping of Flynn’s phone calls and surprised Yeats and other Department of Justice officials. Yeats’ testimony revealed her surprise at Obama’s knowledge of these events in the January 5th Oval Office meeting.

The keywords here are the first two of the preceding paragraph; Obama knew. As the corruption is continuing to be revealed, it is becoming clearer that the Obama administration was spying on an opposition political campaign and that Obama, himself, at least knew about it to some degree.

Daniel Gardner writes, “Not only do the transcripts show no collusion by Trump or anyone in his campaign or in his administration, but interviews with high-ranking members of the Obama administration indicate President Obama himself was involved with undermining President Trump’s campaign and administration.”

How is the left and the never-Trump world responding to this news?

Evan McMullin, an avowed never-Trump advocate, tweeted, “In this now declassified email that Susan Rice sent herself, we see that President Obama refused to request law enforcement investigations of Team Trump’s known Russia ties and insisted that any actions be “by the book.” Apparently, ‘Obamagate’ means doing the right thing.”

McMullin is not a stupid person, so the only way we can understand this tweet is to see that he is covering up and lying for the Obama administration. His tweet ignores the knowledge Obama had of spying and believes the veracity of the “by the book” comment. I do not. I see it as a cover-up for a host of questionable acts.

Similarly, Maggie Haberman of the New York Times tweeted, “The email, which memorialized the meeting two weeks after it happened, said Obama wanted to be sure ‘every aspect of this issue is handled by the Intelligence and law enforcement communities ‘by the book.’”

Sure, Maggie.

Those who oppose Trump continue to wallow in what they perceive to be their own inherent righteousness. It’s as if they could never lie. They could never distort the truth. They could never do anything wrong.

Regular America sees through that hypocritical charade. Like when Toto pulls back the curtain in the Wizard of Oz to reveal the “great and powerful Oz” to be a humbug, regular people are seeing the left and the never-Trump movement for what it is. Behind the curtain, it’s an arrogant, elitist bunch of people who’ll do anything to have power and control over the lives of regular people.

Make no mistake. Whatever Pelosi, Obama, Biden, or any of the media elites say, know that they don’t care one bit about you, your job, or your family. They exist to rule. Trump threatens that, so, in their minds, Trump must go. As I see it, that’s what this is all about. In the swamp, corruption continues to creep.
