This is how the world sees cool, ‘woke’ Social Justice Warrior pastors.
In the latest Warriors and Wildmen episode, Dear ‘Woke’ Christian: Marxism & Christianity Do Not Mix, Rich mentioned an old clip of Joe Rogan discussing Hillsong NYC pastor, Carl Lentz. Back in 2018, Rogan and Bill Burr stumbled onto discussing churches. It began with Joel Osteen and ended with Carl Lentz.
Burr said that he was considering going back to church because there was an “element of it” that he liked.
Rogan said that although there are good people who go into the ministry and they have good intentions wanting to help people, once they get into a position of power, it can go south pretty quickly. He then says that he thinks Osteen is a guy that is in it for the money because he just “wants to buy a Rolls Royce.” Burr then called Osteen “an arena act” and the comedians were stunned at how much tickets to those events were.
At around the 4-minute mark, Rogan starts talking about the “Justin Bieber guy” who is able to exert some incredible control over some high-profile people. When the photo of Carl Lentz walking with Justin Bieber was pulled up, the gloves really came off in their criticism of preachers.
Rogan was horrified to see how low Lentz’s shorts were and said:
ROGAN: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, ho! What the f**kin’ d*ck root, priest..?! Hold up! What’s goin’ on with his f**kin’ shorts? Bro! No. No, no, no, no, no. Any guy that’s showin’ d*ck root, you know what I mean? The base of your c**k. You’re pulling your shorts down to the base of your c**k like that, you’re doin’ that ’cause you’re tryin’ to get laid. Stop. Pull your f**kin’ shorts up to a normal height. Those should be 5 inches higher. I know what you’re doing. Your c**k is slappin’ against your thing–you probably don’t even have underwear on you f**kin’ creep. Jesus does not want you to dressin’ like that. NO! And look at him. He’s got abs–big ol’ handsome guy. He probably d**ks chicks down for the Lord. D**ks ’em down for Jesus. Look at him, big ol’ handsome charismatic guy.
Here’s the 5-minute version (LANGUAGE WARNING)
What is disturbing about this is that clearly, Lentz has obviously “manscaped” his down-there hair. If he didn’t, this photo would quite literally be obscene. And frankly, what the hell does that look like from the back?! Crack is whack, you guys.
Here’s the full clip cued up to the same point, but it continues where Rogan says that he doubts Lentz’s motives simply because of the way he wore his shorts.
This is how the world sees those smooth, woke pastors who are drawing crowds and scratching itching ears, but not preaching the full counsel of God.
They see them as frauds who are in it for themselves. Even if their message is different from Osteen, the view is the same. Rogan is disgusted that Osteen is making money hand-over-fist, but he sees Lentz as the cool, hip guy who works out and manscapes to pick up women. There’s no indication that this is true, but this is Joe Rogan’s perception. He’s not alone, I’m sure.
As Christians, we should be aware of how the world views us and our leaders.
It’s important to note that Lentz is one of those hipster pastors that is so committed to an “open tent” that he’s soft on clearly speaking the truths of Scripture.
Proverbs 3:7 tells us, “Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.”
But that’s not the way that Lentz rolls.
In 2017, Lentz chatted with The View coven and refused to openly denounce abortion. He literally said that people “have to live to their own convictions.”
The crowd applauds this, of course. After all, scripture tells us, “For the time is coming when people will not put up with sound doctrine, but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own desires.” (2Tim. 4:3)
Speaking of “itching ears,” just a few weeks ago, Lentz was blasting those who won’t say Black Lives Matter.
He’s all into supporting the overtly black supremacist movement by voicing their slogan, Black Lives Matter, but doesn’t seem to realize that the movement itself has as its goal to “disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure” and won’t hear criticism of the movement. He won’t even hear that the entire premise that the movement is founded on is false.
When a movement demands that you “take a knee” in support–that’s not gonna happen with me.
Like that one black Georgia state trooper said to BLM protesters, there is only One that I will bend the knee to.
I hope you feel the same way.
Despite what these hipster folks say, Jesus didn’t come to have everyone “get along” He was pretty spicy and biting in his words. He said some things that people would definitely call politically incorrect. He wasn’t a manscaped dandy spouting cute slogans–He upended the world order just as easily as he flipped the tables in the Temple.
Don’t believe me?

If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive
Much of the Left loathes masculinity and they love to paint Jesus as a non-offensive bearded woman who endorses their agenda. This book blows that nonsense all to hell. From the stonking laptop of bestselling author, Doug Giles, comes a new book that focuses on Jesus’ overt masculine traits like no other books have heretofore. It’s informative, bold, hilarious, and scary. Giles has concluded, after many years of scouring the scripture that, If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive.
