Hotel Guest Stabbed To Death, Throat Crushed By Homeless Convicted Killer Staying There Because Of COVID
Maybe there’s a good reason you don’t want convicted killers and vacationers staying in the same building?
For one thing, the vacationer isn’t able to give any informed consent to the risk he’s taking on by sharing a living space with his potential neighbors. And now, a wife has been made a widow, and a daughter has been made fatherless.
A homeless convicted killer who had been staying at a South Florida hotel as part of an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus has been charged with fatally stabbing and stomping on the throat of a married father from Massachusetts.
Recently released court documents showed that Charles Morgan, 59, a married-father-of-one carpenter from Martha’s Vineyard, was on his way to visit family in West Palm Beach when he checked into the Rodeway Inn & Suites in Dania Beach on August 1 because of bad weather in the area.
While there, investigators said Morgan crossed paths with Alphonso Washington, 59, who had been staying at the hotel for two months as part of an effort by Fort Lauderdale officials to house homeless people.
The video shows Washington leaving the room at almost 12.30pm. He was carrying a blue bag.
Morgan was found naked in the hotel room bathroom later that day. His larynx was crushed so severely that it would have had to be caused by ‘using a shoe and stomping on a person’s throat,’ the arrest report said.
The medical examiner who performed Morgan’s autopsy also concluded that he sustained a severe blunt force trauma to the head.
According to a complaint affidavit obtained by DailyMail.com, police initially believed Morgan’s death may have been self-inflicted, but upon closer examination they concluded that he was the victim of a homicide.

It gets worse. An unknown foreign object was also discovered ‘in his anal cavity’.
So, how did Charles Morgan come to be in the same hotel as his killer?
The city was handing out free vouchers.
