Little Lord Fauci tends to be the lightning rod for most of our criticism, mainly because he sees more press than Avenatti ever did. But Dr. Birx was no stranger to the political limelight either.
And with that limelight, came an enormous amount of power to change the lives of ordinary people across the country, and to shut down entire economic sectors on the bare say-so of authorities such as herself.
We all see how that’s playing out.
The day after Thanksgiving, Dr. Deborah Birx traveled to one of her vacation properties in Delaware. She was joined by three generations of her family from two households, openly flouting her own guidance she gave only weeks earlier.

That a whole lot of civil servants are doing pretty well for themselves will come as cold comfort to the people who’s entire life savings were sunk into companies that were shuttered because people like her told us it was necessary for safety.
But did she even believe her own guideance?
Nope.

In the video she says she is making the personal sacrifices not to infect her parents and her pregnant daughter.
As COVID-19 cases skyrocketed before the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Dr. Deborah Birx, coordinator of the White House coronavirus response, warned Americans to “be vigilant” and limit celebrations to “your immediate household.”
For many Americans that guidance has been difficult to abide, including for Birx herself.
