The Democratic-Socialist superstar who constantly grabs the headlines says that the “Old Guard” isn’t making enough room for the “New Guard.”

What’s wrong? Not enough magazine covers and glowing coverage for Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?

No, she’s just concerned that the intransigent Democrats aren’t intransigent enough and might be willing to — dare I say it? — work with Republicans instead of against them!

The horror!

Imagine wanting to address the concerns of 50% of the country! That’s no way for a true “progressive” to behave. Isn’t that right, AOC?

So much for the “Democratic” in Democratic-Socialist.

The progressive firebrand said it’s time for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to go — but warned of a power vacuum that could be filled by “nefarious forces” who are “even more conservative” than the caucuses’ current leaders during a podcast interview on “The Intercept” that aired Thursday.

“I do think we need new leadership in the Democratic Party,” Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said. “I think one of the things that I have struggled with, I think that a lot of people struggle with, is the internal dynamics of the House has made it such that there [are] very little options for succession.”

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez is very concerned that there is no natural progression for leadership for the young, loudmouth upstarts because veteran Democrats are clinging to their power with a white-knuckled grip and refusing to be led off to a quiet retirement with the millions that they somehow made while sitting as elected officials.

Welcome to politics, AOC!

You know… she does have a point. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, 80, has been in Congress since 1987, meanwhile, Senator Chuck Schumer, 70, has been in Congress since 1980. They’re walking, talking advertisements for term limits. Of course, that’s not the point that she’s making, though.

AOC is very concerned that if one of these elderly leaders leaves office — one way or another — the leadership vacuum will lead to a Battle Royale and someone moderate might win. That’s a nightmare scenario for AOC.

But even with Pelosi indicating this upcoming term could be her last, Ocasio-Cortez said there are no viable solutions to replace her because the party’s current leaders have concentrated power in leadership “with a lack of real grooming on next generation of leadership.”

“My concern — and I acknowledge this as a failing, as something that we need to sort out — is that there isn’t a plan,” she said. “How do we fill that vacuum? Because if you create that vacuum, there are so many nefarious forces at play to fill that vacuum with something even worse. And so, the actual sad state of affairs is that there are folks more conservative than even they are willing to kind of fill that void.”

Here is the audio of the young Congresswoman’s comments:

Why give some “moderate” power when you could just give it to her?

AOC said that the lack of a path to leadership has caused talented newcomers to leave Capitol Hill and head back to run for statewide office instead.

She also said, “The answer is we need to shift power. We need to make sure that we have a transition of power in the Democratic Party.”

So, yes. This is just an attempt at a power-grab by a young, ambitious woman.

She did say that she wouldn’t be running for Speaker anytime soon.

“The House is extraordinarily complex and I’m not ready,” she said. “It can’t be me. I know that I couldn’t do that job.”

Maybe she’s considering taking Trump’s advice…

AOC is known for making public statements about keeping “Enemies Lists” and primarying Democrats that she thinks are not sufficiently progressive. And she’s got the “dark money” to do it.

Well, Chuck… looks like you’d better watch your back!
