Their objection to the personality of the 45th President blinded many to the policy promises he delivered on. This makes one lynchpin argument Never-Trumpers kicked around seem sophomorically naive.
You’ve probably heard it a bunch of times before. We need Trump to lose so that we can ‘save conservatism’.
Uh, HELLO? Have you even LOOKED at the party lately? We already TRIED sending more conservative voices to the party. Many of them have been either selectively picked off through meddling in local races (McConnell was not a fan) or became corrupted by the same values they were sent there to stand against.
And, seriously, which of the three Republican candidates previous to Trump are a serious counterweight to the left’s full-court press on squeezing the right out of having any role whatsoever with respect to laws, culture, and institutions?
By contrast, here’s a story that the Never-Trumpers would never want to acknowledge in public. The core policies Trump stood for were fundamentally conservative, right out of the gate.
The Heritage Foundation, widely viewed as a leading conservative think tank, revealed this week that President Donald Trump has enacted a more conservative agenda his first year in office than former President Ronald Reagan, as American policymaking has taken a sharp turn to the right. –DailyWire
Nowhere was that more evident than his position on the life of the unborn child.
Mat Staver, president of the Christian legal advocacy group Liberty Counsel, said that Trump has delivered nearly 90% of the goals on a conservative wish list.
“In the first two years of his administration, he’s achieved more than all of the presidents combined since Ronald Reagan,” Staver said. “He’s been the most pro-religious freedom and pro-life president in modern history.”
A large part of the victories claimed by the religious right have to do with pleasing social conservatives; especially when they feel threatened by progressive legislation that they feel could undermine their “religious liberty” rights. —NY Daily News
But the left, and their never-Trumper buddies, hated him, lampooned him, defamed him, smeared him with innuendo about being under the thumb of the Russian government, on and on it went. Every story the left published went out of its way to frame him as a moral monster. The death-by-1000 cuts strategy took its toll. It worked. Trump is out of office.
And what do we get for ‘saving’ Conservatism?
Bernie Sanders is now overseeing finance. Susan Rice looking at domestic policy. Plans to rejoin the Paris Accord and a Nuclear deal with Iran that even Iran has decided has outlived its usefulness (they got their big payday, what more do they really need?)
And, here’s the kicker… they have Kamala Harris’ commitment to Planned Parenthood.

As the attorney general of California, Sen. Kamala Harris threatened the First Amendment rights and civil liberties of an undercover journalist on behalf of her political donors at Planned Parenthood.
A new video released by the Center for Medical Progress on Tuesday documents how Harris colluded with Planned Parenthood executives after video evidence of their involvement in trafficking aborted baby body parts was released, and then prosecuted the Center for Medical Progress’s David Daleiden as the first and only case in California in which a journalist has been charged with violating the state’s video recording law.
“It is your First Amendment right to promote the significance of your own message,” Daleiden says in the video. “When she said that I was targeted because of the content of my videos, Kamala Harris’s deputy prosecutor admitted that the reason I was targeted and I alone, was to punish what I have to say: Planned Parenthood sells baby parts.” — Political Patrol
Given the choice between prosecuting people accused of unlawfully trafficking in the sale of baby parts, she prosecuted the journalists who exposed her.
Was she in the right to do so? Of course not.

Biden’s crew are going to swing for the fences on the abortion issue.
The rollback would include revoking the Mexico City Policy – which restricts U.S. taxpayer dollars from sponsoring abortions in other nations – in addition to restoring Title X money to clinics such as Planned Parenthood that provide abortions or refer people to abortion providers.
Biden is expected to also revive the contraceptive coverage mandate of Obama’s Affordable Care Act, which forces employers to cover birth control, including “emergency contraceptives,” which are abortifacients that kill a newly formed embryo.
In addition, Biden has promised to “codify” abortion into federal law in an effort to prevent any potential Supreme Court overturn of Roe v. Wade and combat the increasing number of state policies that seek to protect the life of the unborn.
Both Biden and Congressional Democrats have also discussed repealing the Hyde Amendment in 2021, which would allow taxpayer dollars to be directly used for aborting children.

Not one of the 10 strong women listed in this book would have had one iota of respect for Kamala Harris so long as she pushed this barbaric practice.
