Democrats always seem to have money to burn for their BIGGEST priorities… like paying for abortions in faraway lands.
Of course, if they opposed this policy, we already know what their official narrative would be: ‘Republicans funding the racist slaughter of brown babies in the developing world’. But those words would never be weaponized against any Democrat by a politicized press.
Republicans, on the other hand, don’t mind speaking up. Especially when those orders could violate the Hyde Amendment. As good as that is, there’s another voice that’s missing from the table completely.
It’s a voice that echoes these Republican objections. Sure, these are on point. But not nearly as good as what you’ll find below them.
‘Let me be clear – abortion is murder, and the federal government should not support it let alone PAY for it,’ Representative Ronny Jackson, who once served as presidential physician to former Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump, wrote on Twitter Thursday.
‘I will not support any bill that eliminates or weakens the Hyde Amendment. #SaveHyde’ the freshman Texas congressman continued.
The 1980 Hyde Amendment bars federal funds from being use to pay for elective abortions. It stipulates that taxpayer dollars can only be used for aborting an unborn baby in the case of incest, rape or to save the mother’s life due to pregnancy complications.
…A separate initiative Thursday directs HHS to consider revoking regulations set forth by Trump in February 2019 that prohibits funds for the Title X Family Planning Clinics from being use to perform, promote, refer or support abortion as a method of family planning.
The Republican Study Committee, the largest conservative caucus in the House, promoted Wednesday afternoon that their members are dedicated to ‘saving’ the Hyde provision to make sure Americans do not have to pay, via tax money, for women to obtain abortions. – DailyMail
The following video was shared by a medical researcher-turned activist who is tired of the Western Colonialism (yes, she calls it colonialism) of using western wealth and strings-attached ‘aid’ as a lever to force the woke left politics down the throats of ‘benighted’ Africans who do not share in their secular anti-family mores.
The leftists are the ones being culturally subversive and destroying traditional African culture, and they’re not even trying to hide it.
If the press were honest, they would oppose this funding with the same exact white-hot outrage they were able to manufacture for one ‘crisis’ after another during the Trump tenure, each of those crises being dipped in the poison and acrimony of racial identity politics before driving that (metaphorical) blade home into the Trump Administration.
If they made Biden play by those same rules they set up for Trump, Joe would have stepped into their bigot trap literally from day one.
Of course, he’s the avatar of a return to the Big Government scheme where money and power are traded like baseball cards, and since the status quo among the elite benefit from that arrangement, they’re quite happy to ignore the left’s obvious inconsistencies.
For the ‘greater good’ of their own perpetual wealth and power, of course.
