Dems Pushing Legislation To Pack SCOTUS, Pelosi Pumps Brakes… What Should We Really Believe?

The question is, how much of this is optics to keep people happy, how much of this is intended to get the public debating an issue they want to move public perception on.

(They won’t even have to do the heavy lifting. Project Veritas has shown us how willing CNN and the rest of the Press is to do that for them.)

Time and again Democrats were explicitly asked the question of whether they had any plan of packing the court. Time and again, they ducked and dodged that question.

It was a lie.
WE knew it was a lie.
THEY knew it was a lie.
But the press hid that lie public notice.

We all know why.

Earlier this week, Biden put forward a ‘commission’ to ‘study’ court packing. The group doing the study included a range of rabid activists in the Left (e.g. Lawrence Tribe) all the way to a tepid center-right token or two. Not an Originalist or Textualist in the lot of them. So excuse us if that — together with all the other examples of Joe ‘Jim Crow’ Biden’s Unity — doesn’t instill any confidence that this isn’t window-dressing for a foregone conclusion.

Nadler, the Capsize Guam guy, and a couple of other of the usual suspects came out with a formal proposal to pack the courts, claiming that the current court is illegitimate — can you imagine the uproar if Trump had said that?

They aren’t even hiding their end-game. They want to add four new Justices (appointed by Biden, of course) so that the supposed 6-3 conservative-leaning court is ‘rebalanced’ to be 7-6 (more like 8-5, at best) Democrat.

We apologize for the stupidity present in this presser. But it’s newsworthy, for anyone who can stomach it.

Here’s the plot twist.

‘Do you support [Rep.] Jerry Nadler’s bill to expand the Supreme Court by 4 seats and would you commit to bringing that bill to the floor,’ a reporter asked the House Speaker at a press conference on Thursday.

‘No,’ she said.

…Pelosi said she backs President Joe Biden launching a commission to look at expanding the Supreme Court Justice count, rather than bringing forward the current Democrat proposal.

‘I support the president’s commission to study such a proposal,’ Pelosi added. ‘But, frankly, I’m not – right now, we’re back, our members – committees are working putting together the infrastructure bill and the rest.’

‘I don’t know that that’s a good idea or a bad idea,’ she said. ‘I think it’s an idea that should be considered and I think the president’s taking the right approach to have a commission to study such a thing. It’s a big step. It’s not out of the question, it’s been done before in the history of our country.’ — DailyMail

You notice none of this came up for the decades and decades that Democrats held an edge in the courts, but *bam* as soon as they can’t use the courts to rubber-stamp everything that they can’t pass through normal legislation.

If there was a lick of honesty in this proposal, they would insist that any changes to the composition of the court would, like voting oneself a pay raise, not take effect during the same administration as the person who signs it.

What happens if they did that? They might accidentally add 4 judges to the OTHER team… the dreaded Republicans.

If there were even the slightest chance of that happening, do you thing for a minute they would risk it?

Hell no.
