In a question of how an institution’s sincerely held beliefs about protecting the modesty of its female members are to be weighed against men identifying as women, the courts have handed down a ruling.
At least with Obama, nobody really took his profession of faith seriously. When his administration took the Little Sisters of the Poor (an order of nuns) to the Supreme Court intending to force them into accepting his laws about birth control, it was obvious to all he was a secular guy pushing a secular agenda.
Biden, on the other hand, has been wearing his faith on his sleeve. He has been hailed by the press for what a wonderful Catholic he is. This is quite strange to hear from a group that had declared war on some Judicial appointments expressly because their faith was seen as ‘problematic’.
But when push comes to shove, he is a legacy-building extreme leftist FIRST, and a catholic when it suits him politically.
His policy obligating Christian groups to change their fundamental beliefs about gender according to the political winds of the day has put his administration at odds with traditional Christianity.
“The government cannot and should not force schools to open girls’ dorms to males based on its politically motivated and inappropriate redefinition of ‘sex,'” Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Julie Marie Blake said in a statement. The religious liberty law firm is representing the school in its legal fight.
“Women shouldn’t be forced to share private spaces — including showers and dorm rooms — with males, and religious schools shouldn’t be punished simply because of their beliefs about marriage and biological sex,” she added. “Government overreach by the Biden administration continues to victimize women, girls, and people of faith by gutting their legal protections, and it must be stopped.” —Blaze
That was the argument that was made, but the judge ruled against the request for an injunction against temporary relief while the case is heard in the courts.
A federal judge this week rejected a Christian college’s request to bypass new rules under the Biden administration that force religious schools to open their dormitories — including shared bedrooms and shower spaces — to members of the opposite sex. —Blaze
Judge Roseann Ketchmark issued the ruling Wednesday denying the College of the Ozarks a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction, which would have provided temporary protection for the school while its federal court case is pending.
