Whether you like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene or not, she makes a whole lot of sense here.
At a recent America First rally in Dalton, Georgia, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) slammed the Biden-Harris administration for their handling of the border crisis and their apparent goal of weakening our Armed Forces.
She begins by bashing Vice President Kamala Harris for not going down to the border but talking to the Mexican President about climate issues. She then asks if Joe and Kamala are still concerned about the “kids in cages” or not. After all, there are a whole lot more of them now than there were under the Trump administration. She then says that the cartels are making money under the Biden-Harris administration and ICE is being neutered. She then goes on to talk about how the administration is trying to make the military go “woke.”

The event is also making headlines because Marcus Flowers, a Democrat challenging her in the 2022 midterms for her Congressional seat, was kicked out of the event. It was a smart move on Flowers’s part — he gets free media attention whatever the result would have been. The media would be slobbering over him for attending and listening politely, or showing how he heckled her, or — as is the case now — painting Greene and her team as “intolerant” for not allowing him in.
The Dalton rally is also making headlines because MTG did The One Thing That Must Never Be Done in politics — she compared the Democrats to the Nazis.
“You know, Nazis were the National Socialist Party. Just like the Democrats are now a national socialist party,” said Greene.
Strictly speaking, she’s not wrong about the Democrats morphing into a “national socialist party”…and, well, some of the further left ones do seem to have an unapologetic antisemitic streak, but they’re not calling for the genocide of the Jews, so let’s just not make that particular comparison. It’s not that it’s just gauche, it’s that it diminishes the atrocities and literal genocide that the Nazis committed. We really shouldn’t be comparing Democrats who want the government to foot the bill for college tuition and have single-payer healthcare as though they’re lazy children that are content to live in mom and dad’s basement for the rest of their lives instead of taking on responsibility, to a genocidal regime that had plans for world domination. Just sayin’…
