FLASHBACK: Bin Laden Didn’t Want Biden Killed … Could Do More Harm As President

We all remember how Biden was famously the one guy in the room who did NOT support the operation that put OBL on ice … but did you remember that the feeling was mutual?

The same SEAL Team raid that let the air out of Public Enemy Number One brought back a treasure trove of data. Among them was a letter written by Osama Bin Laden himself in which he gave his reasons for NOT wanting his merry band of terrorists to murder then-Veep Joe Biden.

We on the right used to joke that Obama’s real motive behind bringing in bumbling Biden as his running mate was to use Joe as ‘assassination insurance’. The logic went something along the lines of ‘however bad you think Obama is, Joe would be worse’.

Al Qaeda was well aware of that same data set we joked about, but they saw Joe as an opportunity. So much so that Joe was explicitly exempted from the ‘kill on sight’ orders given for other key American leaders.

Given an opportunity to murder Obama, they would have taken their shot. Given an opportunity to take out Patreus, they would have put him on ice. But Joe Biden was in a different category.

Biden was different precisely because Joe was more valuable to Al Qaeda alive than dead. Why? Osama Bin Laden told us in his own words…

Bin Laden – then-leader of al Qaeda, and the man that America went to Afghanistan to kill – penned the 48-page missive in May 2010 to an aide identified as ‘Brother Shaykh Mahmud’, real name Atiyah Abd al-Rahman.

In it, he discusses the need to direct resources away from terror attacks in other Muslim countries and instead focus on direct attacks against the US.

On page 36, he outlines his desire to form two hit squads – one in Pakistan and another in Afghanistan – whose job it will be to plot attacks against then-US President Barack Obama and ex-CIA director David Petraeus, should they visit either country.

Giving his reasoning for attacking Obama, he says: ‘Obama is the head of infidelity and killing him automatically will make Biden take over the presidency for the remainder of the term, as it is the norm over there.

‘Biden is totally unprepared for that post, which will lead the US into a crisis.’

He then adds: ‘As for Petraeus, he is the man of the hour in this last year of the war, and killing him would alter the war’s path.’ —DailyMail

We on the right knew how inept Joe would be. Osama Bin Laden knew how inept Joe would be.

It seems the only people surprised by how inept Joe Biden’s leadership has been are the Democrats and their enablers who ‘fortified an election‘ so that he could sit behind the (ir)resolute Desk. That’s a special kind of blindness.
