These images are searing reminders of Biden’s failure in the Afghan withdrawal.
One of the worst failures of the fall of Afghanistan is that there are American citizens and many of our Afghan allies that have been left stranded.
After 20 years, the Biden administration left the Afghanis that assisted American troops out to dry by not evacuating them from the region.
For some reason, the Biden-Harris administration shut down the airbase prematurely and it fell quickly into Taliban hands.
As the capture of Kabul became inevitable and retribution for anyone who assisted the “Great Satan” over the past 20 years, many became desperate.
The airport in Kabul was flooded as people frantically tried to do anything they could to leave the country.
Tragic scenes have unfolded at Kabul airport with at least two people reportedly falling from a US plane as it took off while attempting to flee Afghanistan.
Video uploaded to social media on Monday showed hundreds of people running alongside the plane as it prepared to take off from Hamid Karzai International Airport airport.
Several people could be seen climbing onto the plane and sitting near the engine as the military aircraft taxied the runway.
Another graphic video showed victims appearing to fall from the plane as it took off from the airport.

If President Biden makes a reference to January 6th in his remarks about Afghanistan today, remember that no one fell to their death from an aircraft trying to escape the U.S. Capitol. pic.twitter.com/PzCGIulKEm

Unbelievably tragic.
The first thing that comes to mind is that it’s reminiscent of the 9/11 “falling man” photo that became an iconic image of the tragedy of that day.

The comparisons to Saigon are plentiful.

Video circulated of people lying dead or injured on the tarmac in Kabul.
Early reports say that Afghans were shot, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. American soldiers fired into the air to clear the airfield and in the panic, some people were trampled.
Update: other reports claim a stampede occurred after US forces fired shots into the air to disburse crowds on tarmac, resulting in the death of 6 Afghan civilians.
