The segregation of society on vaccination status continues apace.

The COVIDictators in the Canadian town of Oakville, Ontario are going beyond the heavy-handed restrictions set by the province and are making additional restrictions to exclude the unclean unvaccinated from society.

They even brag about it.

The announcement of the new measures on the town’s website states, “The town’s requirements exceed the province’s proof of vaccination regulations in an effort to provide added protection to our community and town staff from COVID-19.”

In Ontario, proof of vaccination for everyone over the age of 12 is required to enter gyms, nightclubs, sporting events, concerts, casinos, indoor dining, and more.

Oakville will now require everyone age 12 and up “to be fully vaccinated to enter town recreation and culture facilities and Town Hall.”

One of the ways that they’re “exceeding” provincial requirements is by requiring vaccination in order to obtain a marriage license.

The new rules took effect on September 22.

The town website states that proof of vaccination will be required for, “Any new appointments for marriage licences and ceremonies.”

It did say that those who had already booked appointments and civil ceremonies prior to September 22 do not require proof of full vaccination.

They say that they’re doing this for “protection” but it has been well documented that vaccinated people can also contract and spread SARS-CoV-2 to others.

Oakville Mayor Rob Burton said, “The alternative to these measures will be yet another lockdown as the fourth wave grows. The vast majority of Oakville has chosen to get vaccinated to prevent another lockdown. The town is not going to let the unvaccinated jeopardize the health and activity opportunities of the community.”

“We are 18 months into this global pandemic with a highly transmissible variant circulating in the community. This public health crisis requires extraordinary measures to keep our community safe. Implementing a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy will help protect the safety of our employees and members of our community who we serve,” said Jane Clohecy, the Chief Administrative Officer.

Oakville is a large town of nearly 200,000 located in the Halton Region, halfway between Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario. The Halton Region includes the city of Burlington (2016 population 183,314), and the towns of Halton Hills (pop. 61,161), Milton (pop. 110,128), and Oakville (pop. 193,832) but the region is one of the fastest-growing in the province the town of Milton is expected to exceed 220,000 by 2031.

According to the Halton Region COVID-19 dashboard, there have been 18,948 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 686 “probable” cases. Of those, there have been 242 deaths for the entire region of over 540,000 people.

Oakville’s situation is a drop in the bucket for most towns of its size despite having major outbreaks of COVID in nursing homes.

But they’re not going to take any chances.

They’re going to segregate society… just to be safe.

What the hell is wrong with you, Canada?
