The closest they came to stumbling on the truth was when Van Jones described the media as being annoying and in their own echo chamber.

While both of those things are true, very little of the rest of what passes for analysis on the left qualifies as true.

For one thing, what did they think these results were about?

Biden’s theories were pretty convenient. It didn’t have anything to do with his approval ratings circling the toilet drain. No. It’s not because the world has seen just how corrupt and incompetent his administration was, either.

Nothing to do with inflation, and unemployment, and the border, and missteps with the Coronavirus response, and foreign policy, and, well, everything else Joe touches turning to crap. No, it’s somebody else’s fault. It always is, and it always will be.

“I think we should have passed it before Election Day,” Biden said. “But I’m not sure that I would have been able to change” people’s minds in Republican-leaning areas either way.
He added that, “people are upset and uncertain about a lot of things” including the pandemic, the job market and the price of a gallon of gasoline. — MercuryNews

We note that Virginia went Democrat in 2020 by about 10 points, and what may or may not have motivated Republicans doesn’t exactly address why the Democrats never showed up to support their candidate with the same enthusiasm that the Republicans did.

What did Democrats in the press trot out as the explanation for the loss? Racism. Because of course they did.

In fact, here’s a montage of varios members of the Democrats’ AV department claiming that Republicans — the politicians and the voters — are deeply racist.

Shhhh! Don’t tell them!

If they keep thinking this, they won’t change anything as the next election comes around. They’ll keep fighting last year’s election questions into next year, and they won’t know any better because a friendly press tells them what they want to hear.

What does it mean if they take the wrong lessons from this spanking? It means, in short, however badly the Democrats got blindsided on Tuesday, we can be sure that next year’s Democrats will trot out the very same playbook that failed them this year.

Not only that, but if the ‘experts’ are sizing up the electorate so badly now, how can someone so ignorant of the people whose vote they want to secure possibly hope to offer solutions to the problems those voters really care about?

Go ahead Dems. Yuk it up.

We’ll see who’s laughing when the midterms come.
