Two Fox News regulars were on the shortlist — while one refused to get vaccinated as a job requirement the other flatly refused because of the show’s history of treating conservatives badly.

It’s been nearly six months since Meghan McCain decided that four years of being the rightwing punching bag for the low-IQ termagants on “The View” was quite enough, and the ABC show for feminist retirees and leftwing wine moms has yet to find a conservative replacement.

Despite a bevy of guest hosts that included some pretty big names like Condoleeza Rice, Carly Fiorina, and Gretchen Carlson, they have not found the right person for the job, much to the chagrin of the old-timers on the show.

According to POLITICO’s Playbook, child-rape apologist Whoopi Goldberg, shrieking harpy Joy Behar, and her slightly tanned Mini-Me, Sunny Hostin, are now starting to put pressure on the network to find a permanent replacement because they’re growing tired of the “rotating cast” of new guest hosts. Playbook reports that they find it “disruptive to the flow of the show.”

In November, Hostin told New York Magazine, “Right now, we still do need a really conservative voice,” and in an unsurprising moment showing a glaring lack of self-awareness she followed up with, “and we need someone that’s not duplicative of anyone else on the panel.”

NARRATOR: Yet, Hostin is practically a carbon copy of Joy Behar… with a slight tan.

Look at how they interact when called out by Meghan McCain:

What ABC hopes to find is going to be difficult so they’ve widened the scope to potential co-hosts that are not exactly within the normal “conservative” mold.

According to a spokesperson for “The View,” the program will continue to audition potential hosts in the new year, bringing some women back for a second turn. Farah will return in January, and the show will bring in other big names, like BARI WEISS and LISA LING — neither of whom exactly fit the “conservative” label — while the network continues to conduct focus groups on the audience’s reaction.

Sources close to the show said that the search has stalled as executives struggle to find a conservative cast-member who checks all the right boxes. They will not consider a Republican who is a denier of the 2020 election results, embraced the January 6 riots, or is seen as flirting too heavily with fringe conspiracy theories or the MAGA wing of the GOP. But at the same time, the host must have credibility with mainstream Republicans, many of whom still support DONALD TRUMP.

“The problem is that they bring people on under the mantle that this woman is a conservative, when they’re ‘Never Trump,’ so they don’t represent the country,” said one of the rotating guest hosts.

At the same time, the anti-Trump conservative can’t be seen as too chummy with the other co-hosts, as the network’s market-research shows that the audience wants to see the women spar. Sources said that this has hurt the chances of ANA NAVARRO, a regular fill-in on the conservative chair who worked as a surrogate for JOE BIDEN in 2020: She is perceived by the producers as too friendly with the other hosts and not a traditional Republican.

“They are really looking for a unicorn,” said a former show staffer. “They want someone who is going to fight — but not too hard, because they don’t want it to be ugly and bickering.”

It doesn’t help that there’s a perception that whoever sits in the conservative host slot is on borrowed time, with prominent Republican former co-hosts like NICOLLE WALLACE, ELIZABETH HASSELBECK, ABBY HUNTSMAN and McCain leaving the show with claims of being bullied by their co-hosts and ABC executives on-set and off, while veterans like Goldberg and Behar have thrived.

Two of the top contenders were Fox News regulars Lisa Marie Booth, 36, who is a frequent guest on a number of Fox shows such as “Tucker Carlson Tonight”, “Outnumbered”, “The Ingraham Angle”, and “The Next Revolution With Steve Hilton”, and libertarian Kat Timpf, 33, co-host of “Gutfeld!” neither of whom fit ABC’s bizarre criteria.

Both women can be pretty feisty and won’t back down when confronted.

Booth was in serious negotiations with ABC for the gig but a significant reason for the talks failing was her refusal to get vaccinated as a requirement for the job. Fox News only requires vaccination for on-air talent in the New York headquarters and since Booth broadcasts from Florida, she’s exempt.

A few days ago, she announced that she contracted COVID and now has natural immunity.

But she wouldn’t be a great fit on the show anyway.

Back in April, Lisa Booth blasted Behar for the absurd attempt to lecture Tim Scott on race relations. (Relevant segment at around the 4-minute mark.)

BOOTHE: I guess Joy Behar thinks because she’s dressed in Blackface before that somehow she can be a leader on this issue. But look, Senator Tim Scott made this deeply personal point in the fact that he’s faced racism from the left, he said that he’s been called an Uncle Tom — derogatory term, been called the N-word by people on the left. And what does the left do? They say ‘Hold my beer, let’s go prove this man right by getting Uncle Tim trending on social media’. But you’re absolutely right, Laura. The left say that — they purport to say there about women, they purport to say there about the LGBTQ community, they purport to say they’re about minorities until you don’t subscribe to their liberal dogma and then they attack you and they try to beat you into submission so they’re not about any of these things.

As for Kat Timpf, she wouldn’t be much better with her opinion of Joy Behar. Back in September, Timpf said that Behar had a “trash boomer opinion” when she said that Hillary was the real victim of the Clinton/Lewinsky affair.

Joy Behar has been quite vicious with her conservative co-hosts while trying to pin them as the aggressors. It was most apparent in recent years with Meghan McCain.

Watch how nasty Joy Behar was to Meghan McCain on air saying that she was having a “hissy-fit” for wanting to share her perspective on a Democrat Senator as a conservative whose father was in the Senate.

Here is Behar being just completely awful to McCain shortly after she returned to work after maternity leave.

Gee, why aren’t more conservative women lining up to be abused and ridiculed for their beliefs by the likes of Joy Behar and Sunnny Hostin?

It’s an absolute mystery.
