Sadly, this safety advice is prompted by the real-life news story of an attempted murderer.
If you think you get a pass on safety concerns just because you happen to be a guy, you’re wrong. One sick freak had spread a sheet in his driveway, chosen an improvised tool to choke his victim, brought out a rubber mallet, and a can of Axe Body Spray. Yikes.
The attacker’s ‘plan’ was to wait for a local jogger who regularly ran by his house, kill him, and keep the victim’s body in his closet for later use in some unspecified sexual fantasy.
Fortunately, the victim knew martial arts and was able to kick his attacker’s ass, but not until after the rope was around his neck.
As creepy as this particular story sounds, violent attacks happen all across America, every single day. It even happens in ‘nice’ neighborhoods and small towns.
Don’t let yourself become the next statistic.
In this video, ‘Don’t be a Closet Man Toy! Get some Skills!’ Skip Coryell explains how NOT to be a victim in situations like the one in this story almost was.
Our guy Skip, among other things, is an occasional contributor here at ClashDaily, a gun safety expert, and an author. You can check out Skip’s 3-book series, The Covid Chronicles. The first book was an adventure just to get it published.
Naturally, the second amendment makes an appearance in his advice, but he has some other practical tips that we might not have considered.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.
Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.
This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
