Some people clearly don’t understand that the Bible is supposed to change them and not the other way around.
A clip from a June 2021 panel in London on “queer theology” is rapidly spreading on social media.
It shows a man wearing a priest’s collar talking about how he thinks that Jesus “transgenders Himself on a number of occasions.”
In his bizarre and delusional interpretations of scripture, the man who wears the garb of a preacher believes that Jesus shows an affinity for feminine roles and that we should perhaps, view the Son of God as transgender. He also asserts that “God is queer.”
One example, he claims, is in Matthew 23:37 where Jesus said, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!”
The implication here seems to be that because Jesus is using an illustration of a hen gathering her chicks under her wings, we are to take this sentiment of wanting to nurture and protect God’s people as though Jesus was Stan in Monty Python’s “Life of Brian.”
It’s insane.
He also said that Jesus was taking on a woman’s role when he washed the disciples’ feet, which has been viewed for two thousand years as a servant’s role.
“I think if you look at the foot-washing from John’s Gospel, foot-washing elsewhere, in both [the] Old and New Testaments, it’s consistently done by women, and yet Jesus takes that on,” he said.
“People often cast that as being the servant’s role — it was the woman’s role. And Jesus does it, and becomes the woman at that point,” concludes the preacher.
He calls the current view of God “heteronormative idolatry.”
Watch:
So, first of all, this guy should be completely terrified of James 1:3, “let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.”
Second, his assumption that we are projecting our “heteronormative” views onto God rather than God trying to get pea-brained humans to understand who He is through social roles that they can actually comprehend.
Third, throughout the Gospels, Jesus repeatedly called Himself the “Son of Man” — why isn’t this pusillanimous little putz in a collar accepting the Savior’s own self-identification? Is he really trying to push his worldview by twisting scripture to make it fit? Why yes, yes he is.
Fourth, why is it that we must assume that this idiot’s interpretation is correct? Why must it be Jesus conforming to the world’s views of gender roles rather than being the one to “overturn the tables” so to speak on what roles men and women are to perform? He did that with so many other things like… speaking to a Samaritan woman and healing people on the Sabbath which the Pharisees saw as “work.”
I know I’m just a member of the laity — but how is it that a man who supposedly studies the greatness of God would presume to limit Jesus’ understanding of humanity when it was through Him “all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible” and who is part of the Godhead that scripture states is “before all things, and in Him all things consist”? (Colossians 1:15-17)
Doesn’t that seem rather… small-minded to think that Jesus, the Word of God become flesh, who was “in the beginning with God” and “without Him nothing was made that was made” couldn’t understand the way that women think about children or caring for the people they love? Just because Jesus can understand women, that doesn’t make Him one.
Finally, when exactly did “transgender” become a verb?
The video first got attention on Twitter when the account Woke Preacher Clips posted it on Thursday.

Here’s the wider context. From a panel on “Queer Theology” last summer. Speaker is Simon Woodman, of London’s Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church. https://t.co/63hZrhmhgO pic.twitter.com/fOdieJKo49

These videos are perfect examples of “woke” interpretations that are grounded in deconstructionism — which has become nothing but an overt agenda to tear down the roots of Western Civilization.
So-called “queer theology” is quite proudly rooted in teachings from, (among others,) Michel Foucault, an open homosexual who also had a penchant for raping young boys in graveyards in Tunisia at night.
So, it’s worth taking “queer theology” with a bag or two of salt.
And, yes, it’s Sunday, where we’re supposed to be reverent — but let’s not forget that a wise man once said that “everything woke turns to sh!t” and that’s certainly the case here.
That guy in a priest’s collar had atrociously bad theology.
Find people with good theology and still go Berean to make sure that what they say is so.
Start with good stuff like this to hone your heresy meter.
Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.
Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.
This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
