DeSantis Tells A Group Of Students They Can Take Off Their Masks — Libs Lose Their Damn Minds (VIDEO)

The left-wing presstitutes despise Ron DeSantis and are determined to make everything he does a wedge issue.

The latest thing — telling students that they should follow the science on masking by removing the pointless face coverings.

On Wednesday, Gov. Ron DeSantis was at an event at the University of South Florida in Tampa to announce funding for cybersecurity education. Also in attendance were several students from Middleton High School in Tampa.

As DeSantis walked in, he addressed the students who were positioned to stand behind him.

“You do not have to wear those masks,” said DeSantis. “I mean, please take them off. Honestly, it’s not doing anything and we’ve gotta stop with this COVID theater. So if you want to wear it, fine, but this is ridiculous.”

The video quickly went viral on Twitter.

So, what was wrong with telling students that they could take off their masks? Oh, the journos found a way to make it awful.

The headlines show just how insane journos have become. DeSantis “chides”, “scolds”, and “admonished” students in his “rant” that “channels his inner Karen.”

Press Secretary for Gov. DeSantis, Christina Pushaw, issued a statement.

“As the governor said, ‘you can wear them if you want’ but there’s ‘no evidence’ masks make any difference,” said Pushaw. “That has been clear for a long time, and the data informed our state’s official guidance. Following Florida, the CDC has even stopped recommending mask wearing for most Americans. After two years of mixed messages from health authorities and the media, the governor wants to make sure everyone is aware of the facts and data now, so they can feel free and comfortable without a mask.”

But that didn’t stop the intrepid journos — they quickly hunted down the students and asked if they felt that the Governor pressured them into taking off their masks.

This interview is quite telling but not in the way that the reporters think it is.

It looks pretty clear from that video that the only one “bullying” that teen is his (s)mother who forces him to wear a stupid, dirty piece of cloth over his face for hours a day while her fat face is mask-free.

If masks are so damned important, then why isn’t she wearing one?

You can see she’s watching him to make sure that he says the right thing, and his long pause is telling.

This woman thinks that the dirty piece of cloth somehow protects her child. It doesn’t. The masks were never meant to prevent infection, they were meant to prevent someone who is infected from spreading virus-laden droplets while they speak or breathe. But even with that, that was before the CDC admitted that the virus was airborne which makes masks pretty much useless.

The parent of the one teen who kept his mask on said that it was the child’s “right” to keep wearing the mask if he wants to.

Gov. DeSantis told the kids that they could keep the masks on if they wanted to, but he also said that it’s just COVID theater — which it is.

Even Saturday Night Live poked fun at the nonsensical mask mandates.

Notice that journos were desperately hunting for comments from parents and students when a politician said that they were free to take off the masks if they wanted to, but the same didn’t happen in Georgia when this walking pile of comorbidities sat in the middle of a sea of young, masked children, who are at extremely low risk from serious complications from the virus.

An article in The Atlantic published on Wednesday discussed the horrific toll of forced masking on children with speech disorders.

You’d think with the way that masks have negatively affected children’s learning and development, that would be a bigger story than asking a handful of teens if they felt “bullied” by the Governor of Florida giving them a choice.

But then, we live in Clown World now where the journos are right at home.

Gov. Ron DeSantis has decided to use the attention he’s getting and it’s just perfect.

It’s no secret that people are cowering with fear these days. But those of us with faith know that living your life in fear is crap. Let’s get that message out there.

We’re living in a time where fear is running rampant and unchecked.

It seems like most public policy is based on fear these days, especially when it comes to the Wuhan Virus.

2 Timothy 1:7 says, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

It seems that a LOT of people have completely forgotten that message.

Let’s give them a reminder…
