The “adults” in the room have decided that instead of allowing drilling in the United States, we should instead buy oil from America’s enemies.
On MSNBC today, Biden’s Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg told Stephanie Ruhle that everything is on the table — including buying oil from Iran.

Buttigieg appears to dismiss authorizing the Keystone XL pipeline as “galloping after permanent solutions to immediate short-term problems.”
“Everything” is on the table except for energy independence, apparently.
The Biden Administration will gladly buy oil from Iran and Russia.
But they banned new drilling leases in America. https://t.co/3Egv6z3Cre

The entire Biden-Harris administration is on-board with this.
Here is Vice President Kamala Harris saying that it’s fine to tap into reserves but they’re still going to buy oil from Russia to avoid hurting U.S. consumers too badly.
.@VP Harris on why Biden’s still buying oil from Russia: “Understanding that right now on the issue of energy, our allies have stood firm and unified in a way that many of the pundits didn’t predict would happen, to ensure that we are unified in our approach to this issue.” pic.twitter.com/vyiHauZOMm

Harris insists that it’s vital to maintain this “unity” among allies to *checks notes* continue to fund the Russian petrol economy.
Putin thanks you for the business, Kamala.
Meanwhile, Biden’s Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said that this is a “transition period” and that there will be some pains moving away from oil and gas in the short term.

So, we’re “transitioning” away from oil and gas before we have reliable alternatives to oil and gas? All while inflation is surpassing a 40-year high? This seems like a bad idea.
Also today, Pelosi said that she is against increasing domestic drilling that would ease the massive hit to the pocketbook that Americans are feeling right now.

How is this not cult-like behavior?
We are still reliant on oil and gas and we’d rather buy it from places like Russia, Iran, and Venezuela than develop the oil and gas industry in the good ol’ U.S. of A. How does that make a lick of sense?
The left’s “green” agenda — and, let’s be honest, likely their investment portfolios — mean that they don’t give a damn about the pain that you feel or the concern that you have in rising costs for your family that could be eased by allowing the United States to become energy independent. After all, it’s apparently not that hard. We were able to do just that a few years ago under the orange-hued man who now lives in Florida.
Just one year into the Biden-Harris administration and we’ve got inflation skyrocketing, we’re handing Putin money for oil as he invades Ukraine, we’re now talking of buying oil from Iran while continuing to shackle our own oil and gas industry.
But hey… there are no mean tweets.
It doesn’t seem like a good trade-off if you ask me.
But then, look at the Shambling Husk of Mediocrity and the West Wing LARPers that are running the country.
Shameful.
Check out Doug’s latest book, The Art of Joe: The Political Brilliance of President Biden. If you have left-leaning family members, workmates, or classmates, to buy several copies and place them in common areas. Make sure you have your video camera ready for when they pick it up and thumb through it because they will be triggered which will make for a great viral video to share across social media. Also, buy a couple for the GOP NeverTrumpers that you know. Finally, both the book’s cover and the epilogue, Notable Quotable Joe are worth the price of admission. We’ve included before and after Biden on Afghanistan. Jen Psaki will no likey this book, but you will. BTW, the book is 95% bereft of any content. Just like Biden’s head.
