America needs prayer warriors — but we need to be fully equipped with all of the weapons of warfare that God has given us.

Matt Buff had ClashDaily’s Big Dawg, Doug Giles, on The Buff Show to talk about his book “Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass.”

Matt and Doug talk about the fear that has been present for the past two years in churches across America and the importance of prayers that kick ass.

When was the last time you’ve heard teaching from the pulpit on the imprecatory psalms — the psalms that kick butt and take names?

Far too many churches believe in ignoring or downplaying those psalms to focus on the kind, sweet, gentle, loving Jesus.

Praying imprecatory prayers doesn’t fit with their view that Christians should be nicer than Christ.

But when churches locked down and made excuses like it was because of “compassion” and “loving thy neighbor” a spirit of fear came in and got hold of them.

A number of churches need to brush up on 2 Timothy 1:7 which says “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

Maybe that’s why a whole lot of churches seem like they’re off their rockers these days.

It’s time for some pastors to repent.

This vital discussion isn’t one you’re likely to hear on a Sunday morning or in your Bible study — even though you should.

Doug’s spot is at around the 41-minute mark:

As James 5:16 says, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

Here’s your guidebook on how to pray those imprecatory prayers:

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
