Just a few short years ago, Christians objecting to same-sex marriage legislation were told their slippery slope arguments were silly, and that nobody was going to threaten religious freedoms.
That was a lie.
Justin Trudeau’s vision of Canada — and that of many other Canadians besides — is not so different from Obama’s vision of America.
This is the same ‘Blackface Hitler’ who answered ‘China’ when asked which countries other than Canada he admired. ‘There is a level of admiration I actually have for China because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime’… (the remainder of the quote talked about a compelled switch to ‘green’ energy).
Like his dear friend Obama, Trudeau is a globalist with little love of the national identity per se, and a great willingness to refashion it into something new.
Also like Obama, he has secular totalitarian tendencies, which is to say, he will tolerate religious beliefs so long as they play by whatever the current rules and demands of secular culture might be.
In America, that meant Obama going to war with the Little Sisters of the Poor over the quesiton of contraception. In Canada, that meant any charities would have to sign an attestation form in support of abortion if they wanted to continue using the student summer jobs program.
That meant food banks, crisis pregnancy shelters, summer camps, and homeless shelters with religious backing would face the hard choice of forfeiting the student staffing that helps them deliver their services, or saying, the modern equivalent of ‘Ceasar is Lord’.
This has been intentional and systematic harassment of groups who dare to reject the latest fashionable government Woke truth claims. Nothing was gained by the government or the citizen by having that criterion beyond the political arm-twisting itself.
They have been emboldened, and their next move will include removing devout Chaplains from the military.
A January 2022 report from Canada’s Minister of National Defence Advisory Panel recommended that the Defence Minister “redefine” chaplaincy to exclude religions that do not support LGBTQ and a “gender equality” ideology.
The report, published January 7 and was addressed to Minister of National Defence Anita Anand, says that due to the Canadian “Defence Team” and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) having a commitment to “equality and inclusivity,” it is “inconsistent” to continue hiring “(c)haplaincy applicants affiliated with religious groups whose values are not aligned with those of the Defence Team.”
While not outlining specific examples of which religions the panel is referring to, the report uses the example that “some churches’ exclusion of women from their priesthoods violates principles of equality and social justice” while also mentioning that “religion can be source of suffering and generational trauma,” especially for “many lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and two-spirited members of Canadian society.”
Another example the report gives for unacceptable religious practices within the Defence Team is a religion that has “strict tenets requiring conversion of those they deem to be ‘pagan,’ or who belong to polytheistic religions.” — LifeSite
Do you really think they would single out Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, or Sikh chaplains for this kind of exclusion? Of course not.
Even though Islam, for example, has very specific teachings about sex, gender, and incredibly strong denunciations of polytheism. They even object to the Christian doctrine of the Trinity because they understand it to be an affront to monotheism.
No.
Traditional Christianity stands in the way of their Secular worldview. War has been declared, and the beginnings of a purge have begun, whether Christians yet realize it or not.
It’s time for you to decide what you’ll do about it.
Duck and cover?
Yield ground to their advance?
Or draw a line in the sand and make your stand?
Because if you think this fight won’t be coming to your doorstep, you’ve seriously underestimated the commitment of the other side.
Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.
Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.
This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
