This is certainly one of the most memorable first pitches we’ve ever seen.
Opening Day is always exciting for fans of America’s National Sport… but this first pitch wasn’t even in the good ol’ U.S. of A.
The first pitch that figure skater Kim Ye-lim threw out before the start of the SSG Landers game in South Korea’s KBO League was both graceful and athletic.
Not only did she do an off-ice triple salchow, she then stuck the landing and fired the ball right into the strike zone.

That was so much better than Washington Nationals “superfan” Dr. Anthony Fauci did when he threw out the first pitch back in 2020.

That was embarrassing.
Ye-lim is a rising star in South Korea’s figure skating scene.
At just 19 years-old, Ye-lim is already one of South Korea’s best figure skaters. She finished ninth in the women’s single skating standings at the Beijing Olympics, and second among South Korean figure skaters just behind You Young, who finished sixth.
Olympians have been known to show off a bit when throwing out first pitches, like when Simone Biles did a flip before throwing out a first pitch in the 2019 World Series.
