This is one of the stories the gun-grabbers do NOT want us talking about. It’s the ‘good guy with a gun’ story they try to claim doesn’t actually exist.
If libs could have their way, Democrats would turn America into England so far as our gun policy goes. Fortunately, the Constitution has been an obstacle to that goal — for now, anyway.
But if the libs DID get their way, this grandmother quietly going about her business at home could have become another tragic statistic. In the lag time between when she knew she was in danger and the time she could have hoped for a 9-1-1 response, God alone knows what might have happened to her.
But because of the Second Amendment, she was empowered to face the threat instead of cowering in fear and hoping help reached her in time.
Virginia Morrison, aged 79 and Charlie age 80 were in their Florida home when a stranger walked in. His expressionless face was ‘a total blank’.
Virginia hit him twice in the face with the broom she’d been using while Charlie grabbed his handgun. Charlie shot the floor by the intruder’s feet and called 9-1-1. The guy retreated to the back yard, but didn’t leave. Then Virgina got her own gun out.
“I’ve been shooting guns since I was 10 years old — I grew up on a dairy farm in Tennessee. We had to know how to shoot rattlesnakes,’” Morrison told the Orlando Sentinel. “I’ve never had to pull a gun on anybody.’”
Morrison said she went back outside and locked eyes with Rosario-Torres, who began advancing toward her.
“I went out the back door and I came to the fence and he sees me,” Morrison said. “He starts toward me. I fired a shot above him. ‘Back off, dude, I’ll shoot you.’ He just keeps coming toward me. So I shot him.”
…“I didn’t know what he was going to do, but I knew I was going to protect myself. I’m a fighter. I’m going to defend myself,” Morrison told FOX 35. —NYPost
When police DID arrive, there was nothing left for them to do but take out the trash and file the paperwork.
The guy they came to protect them from was already lying in a pool of blood. He was officially pronounced dead at the local hospital.
