Cory Bernardi from Sky News is saying the words that may never be spoken by anyone in the Western media. Is it time we start paying serious attention to the questions he has been raising?
Because we’ve spent the last few years framing Putin as the Second Coming of Adolf Hitler — and Putin providing no shortage of specific examples for why we should believe he is every bit the murderous tyrant and thug he has been billed as — it should surpise exactly zero people that the natural response of the Western World to the Total War Putin has waged on Ukraine was to rush to the defense of Ukraine and sign a blank check in sending everything they could possibly need to repel the invasion.
If it were just a matter of the Russian army and Ukrainian civilians, it would be an open-and-shut question.
But now that the war has dragged on, we are seeing questions raised about how many of the arms we sent explicitly for the defense of Ukraine have been diverted for profit to God-knows-where, and seeing Zelinsky make open overtures to our greatest global threat, China, we may want to take the lay of the land before we keep signing those blank checks.
Especially if Zelensky doesn’t really give two steaming turds for what it’s costing the rest of the world to come to his aid.
“As long as we are resisting it, the integrity of the United States will continue, therefore we are giving our lives for your values and the joint security of the world,” Zelenskyy said. “Therefore, inflation is nothing, COVID is nothing.” — DailyCaller
We’re finally hearing some Western journalists break ranks and ask some hard questions that we might have asked in the beginning — especially if we had even the smallest suspicion that Zelenskyy would turn around and sell out to a dangerous foe that makes Russia look positively Jayvee by comparison.
If we’re supposed to protect the national interests, shouldn’t we at least have a good idea of where American interests, Ukraine’s interests, and any of Zelensky’s unspoken motives align — and more importantly — diverge?
Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.
Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.
This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
