This is what happens when you expose the NIMBYism inherent in the left’s champagne socialism.
Sure the left wants millions of foreigners to flood into America… just not into THEIR part of America.
A video provided to Fox News Digital shows the migrants deboarding the planes at Martha’s Vineyard Airport in Massachusetts.
“Yes, Florida can confirm the two planes with illegal immigrants that arrived in Martha’s Vineyard today were part of the state’s relocation program to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary destinations,” the governor’s communications director, Taryn Fenske, told Fox News Digital.
“States like Massachusetts, New York and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country by incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as ‘sanctuary states’ and support for the Biden administration’s open border policies,” she said. — FoxNews

When high-profile left-wing politicians and celebrities lead the chorus of demands for unfettered illegal immigration, someone will have to bear the brunt of the consequences. A whole range of issues ranging from homelessness, infrastructure and caring for the impoverished, to language barriers and debts owed to the criminal cartels who smuggled the into America will be somebody’s load to shoulder.
The Left is content for border towns or destination states of THEIR choosing to carry the load. But DeSantis has a point. Many blue cities have gone out of their way to call themselves ‘sanctuary cities’ in their effort to ‘stick it’ to Trump’s immigration policy… if they weren’t already leaning that way before Trump came along.
And just like Gov Abbott doing the same thing in sending people to welcoming cities like NYC, DC, or Chicago, every person who took the trip went voluntarily.
Texas is expected to absorb thousands of foreigners a day without blinking, but a handful of people show up in Martha’s Vineyard, and it’s suddenly an emergency situation.

The fact that peolpe were going to Mrth’s vinyard voluntarily still didn’t stop the ‘how dare you’ finger-wagging from the left. It was a thinly disguised version of why would you sent ‘those’ people to ‘our’ neighborhoods?

Suddenly, all the consequences of those policies will be impacting their demographics, their property values, services rendered by their tax base.
For all their pretense of welcoming foreigners in their midst, let’s be really honest: these champagne socialists don’t even like to be around the wrong kind of Americans.
They should have thought of that before pushing for open borders, shouldn’t they? When we said Biden’s policy made every town a border town… we meant EVERY town.
