Florida Man stories are often the stuff of legend, with some of the better ones staring danger in the face with both middle digits raised in defiance.

That’s pretty much the flavor of this video captured as Hurricane Ian was first making landfall.

For the benefit of our overseas readers, as far as hurricanes go, Ian is a big, bad, beast. It ramped up it’s power and came just a hair short of being a Category 5 storm, which is the highest number on the scale. There are two other factors that make this storm a doozy.

This storm isn’t like some of the big fellas that smash their way through states like a compact fist and then quickly pinball out the other side. Nope. Not this one.

Ian is a lumbering monster that will take its time crossing Florida. That means it will stick around longer, drop more rain, and lash the area with high winds for longer. It is also monstrously wide, meaning it will not be localized as some other storms can be.

It’s been a few years since a big storm made landfall in Florida but many of us will still remember the video of the long-haired shirtless man standing barefoot in the street rocking out with the Stars and Stripes proudly flying in defiance of the storm.

Well, time has passed since back then and political sentiment has gotten a lot more spicy — what with Republicans being attacked by strangers because their Divider-in-Chief told them that MAGA voters are a semi-fascist existential threat to the country.

The FBI is now needlessly employing jackboot tactics and SWAT teams to intimidate and humiliate Biden’s political enemies… even against people with no criminal history.

And so the flag being flown in this clip carries a message that’s a little more direct.

The Pro-America sentiment? It is still real enough, especially in places like Florida. But another kind of flag has emerged since the Swamp Puppet was sworn into the Oval Office.

The defiance is the same, but instead of just being directed against an impersonal storm, this flag has a message directed against a far more deliberate disaster wreaking havoc in America:

The guy in the video explained what prompted it:

Just a red-blooded American guy doing his thing and living a little.

If that message on his flag resonates with you, you’re in luck. Our store carries plenty of merch with exactly that theme. Check it out!

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
