Border Czar Harris Blames GOP Governors For ‘Dereliction Of Duty’ For Sending Illegal Migrants North

It would appear that the Vice President who refuses to go to the Southern border doesn’t like the border being brought to her.

In an appearance on Seth Meyer’s “Late Show”, Vice President Kamala Harris blasted Republican governors who are facilitating the travel of illegal border crossers to their final destinations in Sanctuary jurisdicitons.

She blasted the move as “political theater” and said that it was a “derilection of duty” to not simply absorb millions of illegal aliens into red states.

“We’re talking about people who have fleed great harm — they have fled great harm,” said Harris. “And they are coming here seeking refuge and… talk about political theater!”

“I mean, playing games with people’s lives, with their lives. You know, there were mothers with sleeping babies getting off those buses. And I just think it’s an absolute dereliction of duty,” says the Border Czar who has yet to visit the areas of the border that are being inundated with illegal migrants.

“If you see a problem, and you agree that we need to address it, and you’re a leader, participate in a solution,” said Harris.

The solution put forward by the Biden administration was granting amnesty, which is not really a solution to the de facto open border and would only exacerbate the problem.

Harris then blames Trump for the unprecedented number of border crossings under the Biden administration after the current president immediately upon taking office removed all of the border measures that were put in place by the last one.

The Vice President is apparently oblivious to the fact that the same “mothers with children” just made a dangerous journey into the country putting their lives in the hands of criminal cartels that traffick fentanyl and are known to rape the vast majority of women and girls that they bring across the border.

As for “dereliction of duty” that’s pretty rich coming from a “Border Czar” whose only visit to the border was to El Paso, Texas in June 2021 — roughly 800 miles from the Rio Grande sector where the actual border crisis is happening.

Refusing to go to where illegal border crossings are rampant is the real derilection of duty.

Shortly after taking office, President Joe Biden appointed Harris as the person in his administration to tackle issues at the southern border and she was quickly branded the ‘border czar’ but [sic] those outside the White House.

But in nearly two years, Harris has only gone to the border once and has consistently said her role is looking into addressing root causes in South and Central American countries that lead people to leave their homes…

…Harris, who President Biden tasked with focusing on ‘root causes’ of immigration in particular from Northern Triangle nations, called for addressing broader immigration issues.

NBC reported last week that the Administration is considering a major immigration push after the midterm elections, hoping to act on issues that have been stalled for years.

‘If we agree that we need to address it, then if you’re a leader, participate in a solution,’ Harris said, dismissing Abbott’s move. ‘When we first came into office, the first bill that we proposed was for a pathway for citizenship, which was to fix a broken immigration system, which was broken under the previous administration,’ she said.

It is tremendously entertaining to watch the virtue signaling leftists lose their minds over 50 illegal migrants in Martha’s Vineyard, the Mayoral caterwauling over a few busloads of people heading to their final destinations in the “Sanctuary Cities” of D.C., NYC, and Chicago, and the pearl-clutching over a bus or two dropped off in front of the Vice President’s residence in Washington.

Still, this isn’t a long-term solution. GOP governors are highlighting a problem that the Biden administration refuses to solve. Open borders and amnesty are not an option. Blue state Democrats far from the border are learning that just a few illegal border crossers can put a strain on local resources and the failure of the federal government shouldn’t mean that red states should be forced to bear the burden alone. If you call your jurisdiction a “sanctuary” then be prepared to be one.

They’re right.

The only solution from this administration is to relax border measures and offer amnesty. That is only exacerbating the problem.

Red state governers have offered solutions — build the wall and enforce the laws on the books — but the Biden admin doesn’t like those suggestions, so they just ignore them.

This is the Biden “unity” in action once again.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Kamala Harris interview without her trademark Word Salad where she uses words but says nothing. Here she is saying that if you care about the world’s children, you’ll live like we’re in the bronze age. Well, not exactly, but that’s the general sentiment.

She says so many words and yet says nothing.

It seems like Joe’s team made a great pick with Kamala — she makes his “senior moments” not look so bad. And frankly, no one will dare attempt to invoke the 25th Amendment with her as Veep, because no one wants her as President.
