Interesting that Media Matters was going to attack and discredit right-of-center news outlets by calling them ‘fake’, considering the truth bomb Axios just dropped about the role Media Matters has in ‘local’ reporting.

Whenever anything is out of step with a Democrat agenda, the left loves to call it ‘disinformation’, ‘misinformation’ or (until Trump threw the phrase back in their face) ‘Fake News’.

They have a pretty sophisticated operation of ‘disqualifying’ anyone they disagree with, including so-called ‘independent fact-checkers’ flagging anything they don’t like as ‘dubious’. For the most part, this will mean either sites on the political right, or sites that address forbidden topics.

Forbidden topics might include having ‘wrong’ opinions on the Coronavirus (lab leak theory, treatment options, opinions on the vaccine), or they might include other options of particular interest to the activist left, including questions of election integrity, Hunter Biden’s laptop, gender and women’s athletics and so on.

Social media uses ‘fact checks’ as their justification to discredit, downrank, or even destroy anyone deviating from the ‘valid’ converstaion. (We are also learning that they have been working hand-in-glove with a defacto Ministry Of Truth under Biden, and (to some extent) with rogue actors in the Trump administration who embraced some of the left’s favorite talking points. Fauci comes to mind.

This will sound familiar to anyone who has been reading ClashDaily for any length of time, because it is precisely the formula put forward by Clinton loyalist David Brock in his White Paper after Trump spanked Hillary in 2016. The White Paper came out when Trump was still being called ‘President Elect’, and perfectly laid out the plan by which the left not only squeezed the right out of social media by discrediting them in an underhanded fashion, but also coordinated an attack to hamstring Trump, with a goal of either destroying his 2020 reelection bid, or impeaching him before that. (Sound familiar?) That white paper was called Media Matters War Plan 2017

Here’s what Axios discovered about a bunch of new ‘local’ media sites popping up like mushrooms around America: They aren’t actually news at all. They’re yet another one of David Brock’s political operations.

Writers for a D.C.-based media operation run by prominent Democratic operatives are behind a sprawling network of ostensible local media outlets churning out Democrat-aligned news content in midterm battleground states, Axios has learned.
…What’s happening: A network of at least 51 locally branded news sites has popped up since last year under names like the Milwaukee Metro Times, the Mecklenburg Herald and the Tri-City Record.
The sites are focused on key swing states with elections in 2021 and 2022: Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Michigan, New Hampshire, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.=
Each follows a similar template
: aggregated local news content and short write-ups about local sports teams and attractions — interspersed with heavily slanted political news aimed at boosting Democratic midterm candidates and attacking Republican opponents.
…Six American Independent writers have each contributed to most or all of the sites in the network, according to an Axios review of bylines on the sites.
While all of the sites aggregate content from other sources, all six of those authors regularly write stories directly for the Local Report network, with numerous articles appearing exclusively on those sites.
The American Independent was launched by Democratic operative and fundraiser David Brock — also known for founding the left-leaning media watchdog Media Matters for America.

David Brock working together with former senior aide at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and to Harry Reid Matt Fuehrmeyer to use bogus ‘local news sites’ pretending to be straight news sources that are actually little more than politicl agitprop that Democrats can draw on to justify their positions and hurt their rivals in in battleground states?

Sure sounds like one of those ‘threats to Democracy’ we keep hearing about, doesn’t it?

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
