Greetings from the land of Blackface Hitler, government-assisted suicide, shop teachers wearing giant prosthetic breasts in classrooms, and idiot lefty politicians that can’t seem to recognize a joke if it jumped up and bit them.
Well, that last one may be a global phenomenon, but the rest of it is all Canuck, baby!
You’d think with all of the great comedians to come out of Canada, we’d be able to take a joke, eh?
Most Canadians can take a joke, but our politicians aren’t like most Canadians — they’re just “built different”… and not in a good way.
One Member of Parliament got very upset by what was clearly a joke by political commentator Tucker Carlson on his Fox Nation show, “Tucker Carlson Today.”
The 21-second clip that went viral a few days ago is from November 26, 2022, and features Carlson speaking with Hillsdale College professor David Azerrad, who is Canadian.
“I’m completely in favor of a Bay of Pigs operation to liberate that country,” said Carlson. “Why should we stand back and let our biggest trading partner, the country with which we share the longest border — a great country — why should we let it become Cuba?”
“Like, why don’t we liberate it? We’re spending all this money to liberate Ukraine from the Russians, why are we not sending an armed force north to liberate Canada from Trudeau, and I mean it?” added Carlson.

Anyone who watches Carlson’s Fox News show, “Tucker Carlson Tonight”, could tell that even though he had said, “and I mean it,” — it was clearly a joke. Carlson is no fan of the ongoing war in Ukraine and used the illustration to make the point that Canada going commie is a greater threat to the U.S. than Russia annexing parts of Ukraine in land disputes that have gone on for hundreds of years.
Still, the little wisecrack poking fun at advocates of “regime change” wars didn’t sit well with MP Matthew Green who is part of Canada’s socialist New Democratic Party — a part that is neither very new nor all that democratic.
In the Great White North, the condensed name for Canada’s Third Party is often mocked as “Not a Damn Prayer” because that’s the likelihood of them attaining power. Those of us on the right side of the political spectrum (and there are a number of us despite the current make-up of the government) often refer to the members of that party as “dippers”. It’s not exactly clear why that is — some say it’s just an easier way of referring to the party instead of using the clumsier and frankly, almost juvenile-sounding phrase “en-dee-pee”, while others insist it’s because the socialist-leaning party is always looking for ways to “dip” into your wallet. For what it’s worth, I think the shorthand is likely the case, but I prefer the second answer and that’s how I have chosen to use it. Hey, Dippers, that’s my truth and you can’t question it.
Anywho, Dipper Green was Very, Very Upset that a foreign national would say something negative about the increasingly authoritarian Canada that has speech laws, can suspend your Charter-protected mobility rights on a dime, and can lock your bank account if you protest it.
MP Green didn’t exactly go on a Will Smith “Get my country’s name out yo mouth” rant, but he did put forward a motion to condemn Carlson’s joke and indicated that he wanted unanimous consent for this absurd waste of Parliament’s time. It should be noted that as he did so, he made a reference to the attempted “insurrection” that allegedly took place in Washington on January 6th, 2021.
Here’s how Green’s motion panned out:

Some members of the Trudeau-funded media and many Canadian progressives were hysterical at both Carlson’s statement and that members of the Conservative Party refused to play along with this charade.
So, console yourselves, my American cousins — you might have the nuttier-than-a-squirrel-turd Maxine Waters in your House of Representatives, but we’ve got the no-sense-of-humour-whilst-perpetually-outraged Matthew Green.
The insanity of progressivism is truly beyond borders.
