Yo DEMS: Do You Take Your War On Russia Seriously Enough To Slap Sanctions On PornHub?

Written by Wes Walker on March 16, 2023

Everyone and everything that Democrats have ever disliked gets tagged with a short list of adjectives — often more than one.

That list evolves over time, but right near that top of that list (alongside other current faves like ‘enemies of Democracy’, ‘White Supremacist’ and ‘Fascist’ is one other that has particular appeal ever since Trump ran for office).

The ‘Russian Puppet’ trope.

Forget any inconvenient facts like Obama mocking Romney for being the Russia hawk in 2012 while the Obama administration was hitting that Reset button. Forget that ‘hot mic moment’ when Obama told outgoing president Dmitry Medvedev that he would have ‘more flexibility’ after his 2012 re-election campaign. Forget that awkward question about someone from Hillary’s team having 75,000 shares in Russian energy assets, or Hillary’s direct involvement in that Skolkovo scandal in which Russians tried to steal our military tech and build their own version of Silicon Valley.

Forget even that Obama swore up and down that there was no Russian interference in the 2016 election. When he went on Trevor Noah’s show in Mid-December 2016, he specifically said he ‘did not see evidence of tampering’, which dovetailed nicely with CNN’s October 19, 2016 story that the election can’t be hacked.

None of that stopped the ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’ narrative from taking root, alleging that Trump is in Putin’s pocket. Even in the debate, Joe Biden made a point of calling Trump ‘Putin’s puppy’.

They move heaven and earth to prove to the world that they are standing strong against Putin.

Now, with the Ukraine war as a backdrop, anyone who doesn’t rush to endorse a blank check for the war effort, ‘come what may’ and ‘for as long as it takes’, is — you guessed it — an enabler of Putin.

Here’s the left’s chance to really Putin where it hurts — and curtail his war effort.

Putin is suffering from a recruiting problem at the moment, right?

So if we are serious about seeing a resolution to this conflict, cutting off a supply of replacement soldiers is a more sustainable (and merciful) strategy than putting all of our emphasis on giving men what they need to slaughter other men.

It just so happens that we now know one of Putin’s recruiting tools. He’s taking out ads on PornHub.

Putin ally Yevgeny Prigozhin’s private military force has faced issues recruiting mercenaries – especially as their fighters continue to perish on the front lines – and have thus taken out the suggestive ad in the Kemerovo and Volgograd regions of Russia, according to the report.

The risque ad features a woman twirling a lollipop in her mouth as a voiceover encourages viewers to sign up for a position at the Wagner group. It’s unclear how many times the ad has been viewed on Pornhub and for how long it has been up on the site.

“We are the coolest private army in the world. We are recruiting fighters from all regions of Russia… Don’t wack off, go to work at Wagner PMC,” the 15-second ad declares before a phone number ostensibly associated with the Wagner group appears on screen. –Jpost

Democrats love to slap sanctions on anyone and anything connected with Russia — let’s see you blacklist PornHub… make credit cards unusable there.

Would it have any impact on the Russian war effort? Maybe, maybe not.

But just think of how much closer Biden would be to his energy use goals if the world stopped wasting enough energy to power entire countries in one of the world’s biggest triple-X video sites (if not the biggest) after Porn Hub suddenly went dark.

Remember Joe — if even ONE Ukrainian child’s life is saved by these measures of blocking Russian recruitment, it’s worth it, right?
