This is a letter that I have sent to my Congressmen and Senators urging them to defund various government agencies.
Dear Sir:
I urge you to push for the defunding of the following government departments, agencies, etc., which will not only reduce the overreaching power of the federal government but also reduce the national debt and reduce the burden on the American taxpayer:
The Department of Education, the Department of Energy, the Internal Revenue Service (and replace the income tax with a national sales tax), the Transportation Security Administration (and replace it with private security companies), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Corporation for National & Community Service, the Council on Environmental Quality, the Export-Import Bank of the United States, the Federal Election Commission, the Federal Energy Regulation Commission, the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac), the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), the Federal Reserve System, the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, the Legal Services Corporation, the Medicaid and Chip Access Commission, the Medicare Advisory Payment Commission, the National Bipartisan Commission on the Future of Medicare, the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, the Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation, the Postal Regulatory Commission, the Presidential Commission on Election Administration, the Small Business Administration, the Social Security Advisory Board, the Vietnam Education Foundation, the White House Commission on the National Moment of Remembrance, the White House Council for Community Solutions, the White House Initiative on Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders, all offices of Czars, the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Court of International Trade, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
The duties of these courts can be transferred to the federal district and circuit courts.
In addition, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement shall be abolished and replaced by their predecessor (the Immigration & Naturalization Service), and the duty of customs enforcement shall be transferred to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Thank you for your consideration.
Andrew J. Linn
I recommend that everyone out there send a similar letter to their Representatives and Senators because it is time to reign in the powers of the federal government and promote fiscal responsibility.
