LINN: Open Letter To The Biden Admin Regarding Environmental And Energy Policies

Written by Andrew Linn on July 17, 2023

The following is a letter I have sent to my Congressmen and Senators (and I encourage everyone out there to follow suit):

I am writing to you about the Biden Administration’s aggressive environmental agenda.

As you are aware, this administration has been pushing for clean energy, despite the fact that the energy sources it is advocating for (e.g. wind power, solar power) are not sufficient to meet the energy demands of the entire nation.  Nor are they as environmentally efficient.

It is clear this administration is all for environmentalism, especially since one of its first measures was to revoke the permit of the Keystone Pipeline.

Meanwhile, the Biden Administration is looking to phase out gas-powered vehicles and replace them with electrically-charged vehicles as part of its plan to eliminate fossil fuels.  Not only will this policy be more expensive, it could possibly put considerable strain on the grid.

This administration is not leaving any stone unturned in regard to environmentalism, since it is also targeting power plants, gas stoves, ovens, heating systems, air conditioning systems, dryers, and even refrigerators.  It is also advocating a reduction in the amount of water washing machines and dishwashers use for the purpose of water conservation.  And apparently, some manufacturers have already built washing machines that use less water but do not result in clean clothes.

So I urge you to call out the Biden Administration over its environmental agenda.

Meanwhile, I should remind you that the push for clean energy was part of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.  Apparently, the clean energy provisions of this act reflect the Green New Deal advocated by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  Thus I urge you to push for the repeal of this act.

As you might be aware, climate change is not manmade (contrary to popular belief).  The Earth goes through heating and cooling cycles, which result from solar activity.

Therefore, the continued use of fossil fuels (gas, oil, and coal) will not pose a threat to the Earth, despite what environmentalists say.  So I urge you to push for the continued reliance on fossil fuels, as well as hydroelectric power.

In addition, I urge you to promote the expansion of nuclear energy throughout the country, which has been approved by some environmentalists since it is the cleanest source of energy.

I also urge you to persuade the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to lift the ban on DDT, which, contrary to popular belief, is not harmful to humans or the environment.

Should the Biden Administration ignore or reject these ideas that I have proposed, then I would recommend you call for the defunding of the Department of Energy and the EPA, both of which have played a role in implementing the Biden Administration’s environmental agenda.

Thank you for your consideration.
