Limiting God

Written by Doug Giles on August 27, 2023

Is there anything God CAN’T do? Of course there is. Does that surprise you?

Scripture itself gives some examples. He can’t lie. He can’t sin. He can’t swear by anyone or anything greater than himself.

He also can’t break the laws of reality that he himself created — you won’t, for example, see a circle with four corners.

Ok, sure. But what about in the way He relates to His people? Is there anything He can’t do with them or for them?

He can (and has) healed the sick, raised the dead, superintends the rise and fall of empires. Is anything too hard for God?

Too hard? No. But there are impediments to how much good he can do in a person’s life.

His word describes ways in which a mere mortal can put shackles on the good things that a good God wants to do in and through the life of His people.

Does that sound a little bit crazy? Let’s go to the source.

John The Baptist: A Rude Awakening Precedes A Great Awakening.

This timely little tome chronicles the politically incorrect ministry of one of God’s most effective wildmen, John the Baptist, who prepared the way for Christ’s ministry.

The abrasive message of repentance John preached 2000 years ago is still confrontational and offensive today — but it is also life-changing.

In our putrid, worldly culture that has turned away from God, this book is a must-read for every Christian.

Available in paperback for those of you who like the feel of the pages in your hot, little hands, on Kindle to keep it right at your fingertips, and as an epic Audiobook.
