Trump, Smith Clash In Court Cases… Trump Scores Some Early Wins (VIDEO)

It’s pretty obvious that the Biden strategy for 2024 is a repeat of the 2020 basement strategy. Invent ways to destroy Trump that don’t require Joe to out-campaign him.

Last time around, the election was ‘fortified’ (according to Time Magazine) by a coordinated effort of organizations to take Trump down… including Big Tech, Social Media, activist groups, business organizations and more.

Organizations and tycoons have been meddling in elections for as long as we have had politics. But when they coordinate with each other to push a result without regard for the actual will of ordinary people, that’s exactly the sort of manipulation that undercuts trust in the foundational premise of having a Republic based on Representative government.

This time around is different. Instead of using Zuckerbucks to tilt the playing field ,Biden is turning the DOJ loose on his most likely opponent.

We remind our readers that immediately after the Mar-A-Lago raid, Biden rushed of to a vacation. He pulled the pin on a massive political grenade and quietly stepped aside so that the media could turn their full attention of Trump’s troubles — which fell, conveniently, just weeks before a mid-term election.

Isn’t it interesting how he is doing exactly the same thing after the J6 indictment dropped?

Trump and Smith are now sparring over the details that will define the Special Prosecutor’s cases.

As Jessie Watters explained above, Smith has been shamelessly leaking details derogatory to Trump while pressing to have Trump silenced… despite the fact that he is currently smack in the middle of a Presidential run in which he is leading the pack. (As Trump would insist it be framed if he were saying it in his own words: ‘LEADING BY A LOT’.)

Early Rulings

U.S. Judge Aileen Cannon has angered the left by denying Smith some of his requests in a ruling. Talking heads in the partisan press, like MSNBC legal analyst Joyce Vance, are already demanding she be recused over it.

First — she ordered two filings being brought against Trump would NOT be sealed because the DOJ ‘failed to satisfy the burden’ of evidence justifying they be sealed. The argument DOJ used in justifying they be sealed was so that they could comply with Grand Jury secrecy rules.

The two filings were then stricken from the record. But that raised another issue.

Why in the heck is Smith STILL using a Grand Jury from DC while prosecuting a case in Florida?

In an Aug. 7 order, Judge Cannon directed the DOJ to “address the legal propriety of using an out-of-district grand jury proceeding to continue to investigate and/or to seek post-indictment hearings on matters pertinent to the instant indicted matter in this district.”

Meanwhile, in DC

As Jessie mentioned in his video, Jack Smith is pushing to have Trump silenced.

This judge — with an established history of leveling heavy-handed judgements against J6 defendants — is likely to be sympathetic to Smith’s filings.

U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan on Monday night ordered a hearing to discuss a protective order proposed by special counsel Jack Smith’s team to prevent him from publicizing evidence in the case.

Prosecutors asked Chutkan to issue a protective order after Trump issued a seeming threat on Truth Social, writing, “If you go after me, I’m coming after you!”

“The order — which is different from a so-called ‘gag order’ — would limit what information Trump and his legal team could share publicly about the case brought by special counsel Jack Smith,” as the Associated Press noted. The order would not inhibit Trump from discussing the case in its entirety, nor would it limit him from speaking about aspects of the case that are already publicly available, per ABC News.

In response to Smith’s filing, the ex-president’s legal team issued a statement arguing that the post was directed at political interest groups, saying, the “Truth post cited is the definition of political speech.” On Monday, the Trump’s attorneys submitted their own filing to Chutkan, accusing Smith and his team of asking the judge to “assume the role of censor and impose content-based regulations on President Trump’s political speech that would forbid him from publicly discussing or disclosing all non-public documents produced by the government, including both purportedly sensitive materials, and non-sensitive, potentially exculpatory documents.”

This is the same DOJ that is fighting like hell to prevent the courts from blocking their ‘right’ to censor online content it calls ‘misinformation’… so should Smith’s heavy-handed tactics really surprise anyone?

The store we use to help keep this website available for free has the kind of content that people like Jack Smith would hate.

We carry that on purpose.

We’ve got faith-based content.
Comedic content.
Glasses and barware.
Patriotic gear.
And original content.

Original content includes art by our own Doug Giles.
