Did CNN just turn on Saint Fauci???

In a recent interview, CNN host Michael Smerconish asked the not-gone-away-enough Prevaricating Authoritarian Smurf, Dr. Anthony Fauci, about the new wave of COVID and the possibility of masks making a comeback.

Smerconish then pulls out the Cochrane study — a systematic peer review of studies considered the “gold standard” — that says that masks don’t really work to stop respiratory viruses.

Mask flip-flopper Fauci bizarrely replies that the Cochrane review may show that studies suggest that masks don’t really work “at the population level”, but insists that other studies show that they do work at the individual level.

This is normally the type of thing that is dismissed as anecdotal evidence.

But how does that claim even make sense? If it actually works to protect individuals, when 80% or so of people were masked up, then the virus wouldn’t be spreading around so much and that would translate to protection at the population level, would it not?

Not according to Fauci.

Remember, this man once called himself “The Science.”
