Gadi Haggai, 73yo American Hamas Hostage — Now Confirmed Dead

Too often, American victims are overlooked in the ongoing conflict in Gaza

Victims like Gadi and Judi Haggai would be among the names those hostage posters were meant to raise public awareness about. They were among the people kidnapped in the 10/7 terror attack.

Anti-Israel Marxists made sure to turn those Missing Persons posters into a political issue. Radical activists caught on video seemed to take special delight in tearing them down.

The act of politicizing those posters robbed the individuals on them of their humanity. These are kidnapping victims whose faces were being shown and stories were being told for the explicit reason of awakening basic human compassion and concern for civilians who, despite having no part in this conflict, were kidnapped by jihadi captors.

Since that time, we have learned that at least one of the American hostages has also been robbed of his life.

73-year-old Gadi Haggai, an Israeli-American dual national and hostage who was kidnapped by Hamas from Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, has died while being held captive in Gaza, the Missing Persons Families Forum said in a statement released Friday.

His body is still being held in Gaza, according to the Forum.

“Gadi was a man full of humor who knew how to make those around him laugh. A musician at heart, a gifted flautist, he played in the IDF Orchestra and was involved with music his whole life,” the statement added. — CNN

It is believed his wife is still being held hostage.

Weinstein shared the 40-second video clip in a group chat when Hamas attacked Kibbutz Nir Oz. That was their last contact with their family.

The family used the video to pinpoint the couple’s last known location and shared it with the Israeli army, but a search came up empty.

A daughter, Iris Weinstein Haggai, has been relentlessly looking for answers from her home in Singapore. The family heard ominous news from a paramedic, who said Weinstein had called for medical help.

“She said they were shot by terrorists on a motorcycle and that my dad was wounded really bad,” said Weinstein Haggai, 38. “Paramedics tried to send her an ambulance. The ambulance got hit by a rocket.”

The paramedic lost contact with Weinstein, leaving her family grappling with worst-case scenarios. — AP
