GENDER: Detransition Lawsuits Threaten To CRIPPLE The Gender Clinic Industry

Remember how we were solemnly assured that 'regret' is NOT a problem? What changed?

The left claims that regret is vanishingly rare among anyone who transitions. If so, why is there a groundswell of lawsuits aimed at professionals who who performed or counseled these irreversible changes?

Up until now, these changes have been a licence to print money for the hospitals that perform these functions, in part because they will have a patient who is dependent — for life — on replacement hormones and specialized expertise.

That profit incentive might shift dramatically if courts start awarding damages to children who have been sterilized, especially if it is found that they did so absent meaningful informed consent.

The biggest threat to “gender-affirming care” might come not from red states banning the procedures for minors, but from scarred, young women like Soren Aldaco, Chloe Cole and Prisha Mosley.
The three are among the growing number of detransitioners — former gender-clinic patients who were prescribed drugs and underwent breast removals in their teens as they sought to adopt an opposite-sex identity and later decided they weren’t transgender after all.
Now they’re suing the medical professionals who signed off on the puberty blockers, hormone therapies and surgeries, accusing the physicians of rushing them into treatment as a fix for their mental health problems without adequate screenings or warnings about the long-term physical and psychological risks.
“These lawsuits are rightfully a huge threat to the ‘gender-affirming care industry’ because they are exposing the dark side of a dangerous agenda that is hurting an untold number of vulnerable teens,” said Charles LiMandri, whose San Diego County law firm represents three detransitioners in partnership with the Center for American Liberty.
Mr. LiMandri said about a dozen such lawsuits are percolating nationwide and predicted that “we’re going to see more and more of these cases.” — WashingtonTimes

Why is this a big deal for those of us who do not want to see children carve up their bodies in ways they soon would regret?

It puts a price on malfeasance — even in the bluest of blue strongholds.

If the medical professionals that have been, in the words of former patients, pressuring patients to do something they were not inclined to, or feel/believe something that was not their authentic experience or belief in the furtherance of a priority OTHER than the interest of their patient (be it profit, ideology, or some other thing), the patients can have some sort of remedy for being stuck with the permanent consequences of a decision they were railroaded into making.

It’s the kind of natural consequence that can serve as a brake on anyone rushing to cash in on this new revenue stream by cutting corners and ruining the lives of unsuspecting children, or using fear — especially the fear of their kid turning to suicide — to pressure parents into agreement.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
