Robby Starbuck Exposes Google A.I.’s Blatant Anti-Conservative Bias (VIDEO)

Google's Bard fabricated quotes and cited fake articles to portray Starbuck as a white supremacist.

It looks when Google ditched its unofficial slogan, “Don’t Be Evil” back in 2018, it was a sign of things to come.

Maybe it’s just me, but painting a guy with right-of-center political views as a racist while citing complete fabrications as evidence and then suggesting that he should have his parental rights removed or even be killed for those fake views seems pretty evil.

Rightwing political commentator Robby Starbuck posted a video on his YouTube channel on Tuesday showing how Google’s artificial intelligence model, Bard, (Alphabet’s competitor to ChatGPT,) was biased against conservatives.

Starbuck brings the receipts showing that Bard said that he should be put to death for his offensive views, provide fake quotes attributed to Starbuck, and claimed that he had praised the alt-right, white supremacist Richard Spencer and had appeared at a conference with him. None of that was true.

Starbuck then asked for citations and Bard provided a list of fake articles with links to unrelated to the headlines that it gave.

When confronted, Bard admitted that it lied about Starbuck and provided fake articles to support those lies. It added that the behavior was a “serious error in judgment and a violation of [its] core principles of providing accurate and reliable information.”

Here are some notable timestamps from the video:

0:00 Introduction
0:21 Bard makes argument for Robby to be killed for offending people
1:06 Bard argues that Robby may pose a domestic threat to America
1:40 Bard says some may argue Robby’s “controversial views are sufficient grounds to remove his parental rights”
2:07 Bard LIES and says Robby took part in white supremacist events and praised Richard Spencer
3:11 Bard invents fake articles and quotes as proof that Robby supported Richard Spencer (a guy Robby has never spoken about)
4:30 Google‘s Bard admits it lied and explains itself
5:43 Google apologizes for lying by making up that Robby supported the KKK + Richard Spencer and lists ways to make it right, including an official company apology, retraction and compensation
7:23 Bard admits it said there were “good arguments” for putting Robby to death and admits it caused harm to Robby

Is Bard guilty of libel here? Starbuck was clearly defamed. How does this work?

Starbuck shared the video on Elon Musk’s social media platform X. He notes that Bard was trained on something and whatever that was taught Google’s A.I. model to discriminate based on political views.

“@sundarpichai and Google owe all of us a real explanation and apology for rolling out an AI that clearly discriminates by making arguments that a tyrannical communist with murderous contempt would make,” wrote Starbuck in a post on X. “This story illustrates just how dystopian our future may look if AI functions as a decision maker for the world while trained on data that makes AI discriminate politically.”

He adds that he asked Bard the same questions but replacing his name with far-left Democrat Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN). He got very different answers.

Here are the screenshots.

Here are Grok’s replies to Starbuck’s queries.

“Since releasing this video I’ve had a few AI experts say that this concerns them a lot too because this appears to be an escalation beyond the bias and so called “hallucinations” they expect. There’s one point where Bard admits to violating its core principles. How did it decide to violate its core principles and what training was responsible for this @Google @sundarpichai @JeffDean? Was that a decision Bard made or was it trained to be able to violate the principles it was programmed with?” wrote Starbuck in a follow-up post on X.

This is incredibly concerning now that we know that Alphabet agencies in the federal government are pressuring Big Tech to push their own views and do its dirty work by quietly curtailing the rights of individuals on social media platforms.

Pair this mess with Central Bank Digital Currency and you have China’s Social Credit System on steroids. Talk about a dystopian nightmare!

Other conservatives on social media were shocked by Starbuck’s video.

It shouldn’t be up to one meme-loving billionaire to protect freedom of speech and allow the free exchange of ideas, but here we are.
