Trump Trolls Haters With ‘Dictator’ Line In Hannity Town Hall’s Funniest Moment
Even Hannity was caught off guard when Trump dropped this bomb

Trump has spent his life finding ways to become the talk of the town. He is very much from the school of ‘bad press is better than no press’.
A skilled promoter can find a way to leverage either one. And we’ve all seen how he works his magic there.
Trump went to Iowa for one of his long interviews with Hannity just one day ahead of the next GOP debate.
As you would expect, they covered a lot of ground. But there was one moment where even Hannity was caught flat-footed.
Hannity lobbed what was supposed to be one of those softball questions where the interviewee is given a chance to explain why his critics have been wrong, dumb, or delirious.
In this instance, Hannity drew his question from some of those Trump-the-dictator allegations of retribution against his enemies that have been popping up like mushrooms among the left-wing talking heads… almost as if they were fed some focus-group tested talking points or something.
Trump did NOT come back with the kind of serious answer Hannity expected.
JUST IN: Donald Trump promises to never abuse his power except on “day 1” to close the border and drill for oil.
“DRILL, DRILL, DRILL.”
Hannity: “Under no circumstances, you are promising America tonight you would never abuse power as retribution against anybody?”

Deadpan Trump: “Except for day one.”
Pause. Holds the serious look for a moment. Looks out at the audience, with a twinkle in his eye, gestures at Hannity, “he’s going crazy.”
Then he finishes his thought to show the way in which Trump would use his power as compared to the guy in that job at the moment.
Predictably, the left took the bait.

Long-time readers will know our in-house ‘Lightning Rod Theory’ of decoding ‘scandalous’ Trump statements.
Any time Trump says something outrageous, look at the context. You are almost guaranteed to find a message in the surrounding context that he wants to get eyes on.
Basically, people come looking for the scandal and find something else in the process.
Remember his ‘very stable genius’ tweet? It was part of a thread laying out his various significant accomplishments at a moment when critics were calling his cognitive function into question.
How about his trolling of North Korea’s ‘little rocketman’? Trump has a ‘bigger button’ … and mine works. Anyone who went looking for those scandalous tweets saw the rest, too.
So… how is that relevant here?
Depending on how the clip gets cut, critics coming to the interview to find out what Trump said about being a ‘dictator’ in his own words would be exposed to the rest of his argument. Namely: the Scary Thing they claim Trump will do when he becomes President is not something they should worry about TRUMP doing… they should be far more concerned that the guy in office NOW is ALREADY doing those exact things.
