In 25 minutes, Tucker Carlson and Kid Rock cover a lot of ground — from the Bud Light controversy to who Kid Rock is working with these days to politics and Trump.
It was just a month ago that Tucker Carlson and Kid Rock joined former President Donald Trump and UFC CEO Dana White to make quite an entrance at Madison Square Garden for a Saturday night fight.
It seems that a friendship has formed which Carlson referenced as he opened the episode.
“There was a point at which Kid Rock went from being a musician to an icon to a one-man movement — and a friend of ours — and that was the moment we wanted to sit down, once again, with him in studio and check in on how he’s doing changing America,” said Carlson.
They started the episode discussing the Bud Light situation and returned to it throughout the conversation.
“So, I remember doing my text right before bed one night, and I read that Bud Light has decided to go tr@nny. That’s kind of distressing,” said Carlson. “The next day, like 12 hours later, you released the video of you executing the Bud Light with the carbine.”
Kid Rock chuckled.
“I think they’ve still got some work still to get some of that base that they’ve lost. I’ve said it a few times, I’d love to see them get triple fratty — hit it head-on, kind of make light of the situation, self-depracation, you know?” added Kid Rock later. “At the end of the day, you know, you look back on it and they deserved a black eye and they got one.”
“You know how this kind of started, I think? I’ve thought about it. They moved part of their corporate offices from St. Louis to New York City, then they start hiring these Ivy League, progressive people to work for them who don’t know sh-t about working class people or middle America,” said Kid Rock later in the episode.
“Unhappy women, yeah,” replied Carlson.
