MINNESOTA: Psycho Murders 2 Cops And First Responder… Watch Them Make This Story Disappear

The 'newsworthiness' of a story and its political usefulness have an uncanny resemblance

It’s hardly a secret anymore that news events that can be used to push any of the left’s favorite talking points get a LOT of play in the news cycle, while the opposite happens to stories that hurt those same talking points.

There is a reason the public believed, for example, that hundreds or maybe thousands of unarmed black men had been murdered by police — despite the figure being far, far less than either of those numbers. Reality has been distorted by disparate coverage.

Little children killed by a stray bullet while walking in the wrong neighborhood in various Democrat cites tend not to make the news — no matter how high the body count might become. But one idiot gets shot after a confrontation with police (even if he’s reaching for a weapon) and whole cities burn as a result.

But when we see hardened criminals murdering cops, it’s barely news. Honestly, with the frequency of police being shot at, it’s hard to keep up. Last year the number of officers killed by gunfire (47) dropped by 39%, but the overall number of police taking a bullet went up.

Alexander said he was surprised to see the number of firearms-related deaths decline in 2023, and the change could be obscuring a disturbing trend in officer safety, citing data released by the National Fraternal Order of Police. According to the organization, a record 378 police officers were shot while on the job in 2023, a 14% increase from the previous year.

“I do think that the number we’re reporting for 2023 is masking that in the real world, on the streets, officers are facing really dangerous and increasingly dangerous circumstances,” Alexander said.

Patrick Yoes, national president of the fraternal order, called the number of officers shot “drastic” and attributed the increase in nonfatal shootings to a number of factors, including the “long-term effects of a lack of respect for law enforcement.” — USAToday

That brings us to yesterday’s shooting in Minnesota where two cops and a firefighter paid with their lives when a jackass with a gun went rogue when police were responding to a domestic violence call. The victims names are officers Paul Elmstrand & Matthew Ruge, both 27, & firefighter Adam Finseth, 40.

First the facts, then some interesting details about the clown with the death wish.

Authorities had responded to domestic abuse calls about a man who had barricaded himself inside his home with his family — a woman and seven children ages 2 to 15 — around 1:50 a.m., police said. The call had been made by a resident inside the home.

When police arrived it was determined the man had “multiple firearms” inside, with officers at the scene describing him as “dangerous” and “refusing to come out,” the Star Tribune reported.

After about four hours of negotiations with the man, gunfire erupted and two officers dropped, with one being hit while inside the home.

When Finseth tried to approach to rescue them, he was also gunned down.

About an hour later another shot was heard from inside the house and it was learned the suspect had taken his own life, reports said. — NYPost

Since then, people did a little digging into the shooter’s past… and found reasons this story is just as unlikely to remain in the news as the one about the killer who brought her kid into Joel Osteen’s church, started shooting and (apparently) supported both Hamas and Osama Bin Laden.

What do we know?

We know about a felony conviction and that he fought to have his rights to own a firearm restored… meaning either he got his gun rights restored to him, or he managed to acquire them illegally.

Either way, if he was a prohibited possesor, it’s a bad look for the ‘we need tougher gun laws’ people.

We also know something about his politics.

But no, Director Wray, tell us MORE about the dangers America faces of those white supremacist right-wing extremist MAGA domestic terrorists roaming the streets looking for victims to destroy. They’re probably even hanging out at a Latin Mass service right now… isn’t that right?

Not-so-bold predictions: this story will disappear by Tuesday.

But the problems that got us here will outlive the shooter and his victims.

If we want to see them solved, we’ll have to think bigger than we have been. Fortunately, we’ve got a historical example we can draw from.

John The Baptist: A Rude Awakening Precedes A Great Awakening.

This timely little tome chronicles the politically incorrect ministry of one of God’s most effective wildmen, John the Baptist, who prepared the way for Christ’s ministry.

The abrasive message of repentance John preached 2000 years ago is still confrontational and offensive today — but it is also life-changing.

In our putrid, worldly culture that has turned away from God, this book is a must-read for every Christian.

Available in paperback for those of you who like the feel of the pages in your hot, little hands, on Kindle to keep it right at your fingertips, and as an epic Audiobook.
