Osteen MegaChurch Shooter Just Checked ALL The WRONG Identity Boxes — Watch It Disappear!

Some stories get milked for days, weeks, months or even years. Others get swept under the rug in a hurry.

You can tell a lot about how politically useful a story is to one side’s political narrative by how much (or little) we linger over any given news item. With some, the press can hardly wait to turn the page.

When the news report of Biden being cognitively impaired, they didn’t let that story linger. They tried to reframe it, either by emphasizing his main opponent’s age and occasional gaffe, by elevating him as ubercompetent, or by reframing age as ‘experience’ — when the age isn’t the concern so much as his declining capacity.

On Sunday, someone took a gun to Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Houston Texas. Several shots were fired from a long gun. The shooter was taken down by off-duty cops. Two bystanders were hurt, including a 7yo kid.

Early reporting of the story was limited to your typical ‘just the facts’ of the event itself. We knew nothing about the shooter or any possible motive, beyond anything that might be inferred by a church as a target.

Since then, we’ve learned quite a lot about the shooter… including enough details to safely predict this story will be forgotten as quickly as the press can turn the page.

It’s the ‘wrong’ kind of story. The ‘wrong’ kind of aggressor, from the ‘wrong’ demographics/identity politics, supporting the ‘wrong’ politics, and making the ‘wrong’ group into sympathetic victims.

Absolute nightmare scenario for the activist class PR teams. The best thing to do is to move on.

What won’t they want us to know about this case?

The shooter was ‘known to police’ had a history of mental illness (possibly schizophrenia), purchased a firearm legally and went to shoot up a church. Up to this point — it follows the textbook mass shooter narrative so favored by media outlets.

Records show Moreno had a lengthy rap sheet that went back as far as 2005, with charges that included assault, forgery, marijuana possession, theft, evading and unlawful carrying of a weapon. Records show she had an address in Conroe, about 50 miles north of Lakewood. — DailyBeast

And then the story deviates from the narrative.

The female shooter has been arrested multiple times using a male name. This checks the WRONG kind of gender box. That’s a BIG red flag.

There was a messy custody battle between the shooter and her mother-in-law. with allegations that the mother had been guilty of child endangerment.. church staff were interviewed in the process. This may have played a role in the choice of target.

Aaaaaand…. she’s a leftist.

Not just a ‘leftist’ but a political activist dialed into one of the more explosive causes of the day: “Free Palestine” on the stock of the rifle.

Lovely. We keep hearing the FBI warning us about the dangers of right-wing domestic terrorism.  But really, the left wing variety seems awfully busy… and Merrick’s DOJ seems shockingly disintersted in it.

And do you remember that Manifesto in Nashville?

For SOME reason, every OTHER manifesto seems to be released to the public… but the one by a suicidally-angry woman hopped up on testosterone never seemed to warrant any public notice…

Until a comic-turned-commentator got the scoop.

And then got another one in which the targets were explicitly named as Christians. Almost as if there’s some kind of a recurring theme here.

If the victims and targets were transexuals, there would aready be a Netfix documentry being filmed about the connections between these .targets. But if the violence is directed against Christians?

Turn the page, on to the next story. The narrative is not served.

Psalms of War: Prayers That Literally Kick Ass is a collection, from the book of Psalms, regarding how David rolled in prayer. I bet you haven’t heard these read, prayed, or sung in church against our formidable enemies — and therein lies the Church’s problem. We’re not using the spiritual weapons God gave us to waylay the powers of darkness. It might be time to dust them off and offer ‘em up if you’re truly concerned about the state of Christ’s Church and of our nation.

Also included in this book, Psalms of War, are reproductions of the author’s original art from his Biblical Badass Series of oil paintings.

This is a great gift for the prayer warriors. Real. Raw. Relevant.
